That setup sounds similar to my old FD's and Re11's. Lowered on KW coils it would just barely rub the rear rights under full load.
    but do i need fender rolled on a 2011 mazda 3 stock with 245/45/16 16x8 ET50 setup?

I wont have a chance to test fit them until I buy it. Yes I am on stock suspension, not planning on modding the car in the future at all.

I suggest you test fit. I tried mine on my wife's 2011 and spacers were required.

Thanks Mr. Wilson, when you had the RX7 wheels on the 2011, is it on stock or coilovers?

My wife's car is stock. Just put her stock wheels back on, never got around to spacing them out.

Alright, having a hard time finding 16x8 rims. I will go with 17x9 +35 offset with 235/45/17 tires on a stock 2011 Mazda 3 GT, do i need to roll any fenders?

Plan on running the following on my 2010 Mz3 2.5l hatch:

    18x8 et 40
    215/40/18 (Section width of 216mm)
To be lowered on Gen 1 prokits
-1.5 camber on the front, -2 to -3 on the rear to clear lip

Fairly certain they'll fit the rear no problem (have the adjustable camber arms).

Looking to see if anyone here can confirm the fitment on the front?

Going to do some measurements tonight to confirm, just looking to see if anyone here has run the same set up?

Might want to consider a wider rear wheel depending on what look you want of course .Gunna be pretty sunken in at 18x8 +40 ... I ran this on my previous set up on the sedan and if I'm not mistaken the hatch has more room in the rear well area over the sedan

Unfortunately, the wheels are a square set up that I am getting in trade, so no real option to get wider rear wheels.

Might get small spacers in the rear or something in the future, but for now I just want them to fit and clear everything with the tires mounted.

I can work on the fine tuning the look later.

    Hi guys,

I'd appreciate if anyone here can verify that 18 x 7 with an offset of +38 and 225/40/18 tires will work on stock height for a second gen mz3 with no rubbing issues.

    Thanks!!

I'm running 18x8 with 225 40 18 and +35 offset lowered on a prokit and I just barely had to roll in the rear to be safe. I reckon you would be okay.

    Thought i'd post this here:

Best tires sizes for these rims?

    18 x 7 Inches

    50mm Offset

A few options would be nice.

    Thanks

Hey Guys i need your advice.

I have a set of winter tires (205/55 R 16) on OEM metals from my Mazda 3 2012.

Just wondering if I can use this for my Mazda CX5?

Can you please tell me if this will work? Would i need spacers?

I don't think the hubs will fit correctly.

As long as the hubs are the right size, yes.

@muchikori since I helped my Dad acquire a 2016.5 CX-5 I am aware of their tire sizes. The standard CX-5 tire is 225/65/17 which are pretty tall looking tires.

The standard bolt pattern for mazda 3 is 5x114.3 with a 67mm hub bore. Assuming these are the same for both the 3 and CX-5 you are down to offset and tire dimensions.

You can see from the URL below using an online tire calculator that the mazda 3 205/55/16 will not work on a CX-5. There is a -12.75% diameter variance is is dangerous.

    http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-...5R17/205-55R16

The CX-5 is a CUV..you cannot you mazda 3 rims and tires.

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation @sarujo. Will definitely keep this in mind. I understand the clearance is gonna be really narrow was just trying to see if it would be viable or not even with that in mind.

    Thanks again!

Default Re: The official "Will this fit??" thread!

Before posting this reply I did a thread search for "2012" and read every post it found ... apparently no one else has asked about doing the following.

    2012 GS Sky
    Original fitment
    Wheels - 16x6.5
    Tires - 205/55/16
stock suspension (no plans to lower)

I would like buy some new rims to make use of some old Eagle F1 tires that I have in storage ... 225/50/16 ... was running them on my '85 Firebird with 16x8 rims a few years back.

I have found these which as far as I can tell are the only 16x7.5 rims available in Canada. Luckily I like them, but is the 40 offset going to be an issue?
My wife will not tolerate clearance issues, this is her daily driver.

If anyone has access to other 16x7.5 options I would love to see them.

According to my limited research thus far, Mazda does not recommended exceeding 7.5" width on the rim (I have a lifetime warranty on the powertrain and don't want to give them any excuses) Should I be worried in that regard?

    Any thoughts / suggestions appreciated

    Dan
