    Default Interior swap problems.

Just did an interior swap, most of a black 06 interior to my 07 interior Wich was beige, after my seat install my airbag light was on and I realized my old seats had the srs tag and the black ones don't, anyone know a way to disable to airbag light because there are no longer bags in the seat and the car thinks there should be?

Resistors in the airbag plug under the seat. Normally 2.4ohm resistors do it. Sometimes you have to go up or down a bit, but resistors will make the car think the bags are there and intact.

cannot do this. the seats with airbags are specially designed to rip open a certain way when they explode. It will hinder the air bag

Exactly my thinking. Resistors worked fine! No light anymore.

To be fair, with a resistor in it, the airbags wouldn't blow anyways. So doesn't matter really.

But it also means you don't have seat air bags anymore.

Should the other airbags be fine? The passenger airbag light works fine and all.

All airbags will continue to work as they should. The only airbags that will no longer work will be the ones in the seats themselves. The passenger warning light is actually a weight sensor built in to the rail of the passenger seat. It monitors occupancy depending on weight, hence a light object is often enough to set it off.
