need help with differences in gx and gs

Hi I am new to this greast forum and have a 2005 gx m3 and would like to know the big differences from the gx to the gs and is it worth me trading in my gx to go for a gs,

Is the engine block the same , inside the same etc.
I have the convenience package on my gx and planning to get mags and door guards later on is this really all the the differences there is between the gx and gs?

Can anyone help out pls in detail if u have the time

ok sorry thks for info but alot of that is options for both gs and gx I\'ve checked on mazda site,I have the convenience package and can get alot of that separately.I only noticed really the door handles, the seat with lumbar and lift , map light and rain sensing wipers.Oh ya and the mags.Really those are the biggest ones but 1200 dollars more.
I\'m wondering is it worth it to go to a gs now from a gx or just mod the gx which is cheaper and more fun anyways.

i think the main concern here is.. is it worth it since you already have the GX.. i would say NO.. simply b/c once you touch the car it depreciates and you\'d have to pay up a lot more.. UNLESS someone is willing to swap GS for GX+cash.. then it might be but i doubt it.. so i would suggest to stick with your GX and mod it to your heart\'s content

Majic\'s pretty much got it. I wouldn\'t bother trading it in for a GS, if you upped yourself to a GT it\'d be a bit different. You get more going from a GX to a GT than going from a GX to a GS. Stick with what you\'ve got, and spend the money you\'re saving on aftermarket stuff, wheels, tires, audio, hid\'s.

start by getting a GT .. lol.. j/k

i mean this car is for YOU so really mod it the way YOU want in the order YOU want and just ask here questions like.. what you guys prefer for part X? manufacturer A or manufacturer B .. etc.. otherwise u\'r modding it for the wrong reasons..

With all due respect, locustroller, I don\'t think you\'ve done your homework before purchasing your GX. The last thing you want to do is attempt to sell (trade-in) your car before the initial 36-month period, as the depreciation is the steepest. After the 36-month (3-year) period, the slope gets flatter but never completely flat.

Although the difference may be a simple $1,500 ($17,795 - $16,295) difference on paper, in actuality the dealer will make you pay approximately $3,000 to $4,000 to even consider \"trading-up\" to the GS.

As mentioned by Majic, you\'ll have to live with your purchase and after 3-years sell it if your still not happy with it. And next time, find forums like this BEFORE you purchase any car and get their opinion on it.

the gs and gx have minor differences, I plan to mod thew car myself such as mags ans door guards , etc , i just wanted to know, I know all about depreciation just wanted to know what and if I was really missing alot from gx to gs, seems to me I\'m not by what others tell me,
