DRL and Handbrake

I recently got my HID\'s and wondering if anyone has ever considered modifying the handbrake mechanism to permanently turn off the DRL? When you let go of the handbrake, with halogens, the DRL comes on. So I\'m thinking there\'s a circuit connected to the handbrake to turn on/off the DRL. Has anyone attempted to do this? If so how did you do it?

I tought of doing something like that, making the handbrake always think its up but then theres too many problems like the brake like would stay on which is a bad thing cause if your brakes fail you wont know because it uses the same symbol on the cluster. As to doing something with the ebrake so drls dont come on I doubt you can do anything else around the ebrake but rather straight from the drl module.
