Fog Light Coating Coming off

I noticed this happening on the driver side fog light...as you can see the coating on the reflector cap is coming off...this is a pic from someone else\'s car but on my car, almost all of the coating is gone. I checked my passenger side and its perfect??

Anyone else have this problem? I\'ll have Avante look at it next month.

actually.. yes.. I believe my right side passenger is like that as well... Is it really a problem though?

I just had my left side foglamp replaced on tuesday, it had water in it...

I have that on both fog lights. It started a couple of months after i bought the car.

I have it too... but I noticed it days after I picked up the car.

Don\'t know if I\'m going to take it in to fix or not since I may be installing H.I.D.\'s to replace the foggs.

by coating coming off are u sayin that the water\'s condensating on the plastic?

i just picked up my mz3 last friday and on friday nite my friend noticed noticed that there was some water on front and back lights. it comes and goes, but after seeing this post im wondering if it\'s a actual problem and if i can get the dealer to replace them.

This happened to me right after I got my car. I went to the dealer and they said it was normal and theres nothing they can do. I agree though it looks horrible.

They won\'t do anything? Man...this blows...so they are hoping that eventually the silver coating will come off completely so that they are \"uniform\" black? :sarc

they just expect to fix it ourselves like the GFX and GT 05 side rear skirts with the stone chips...:(

I have the same exact problem. I haven\'t confirmed if it is both fog lights though, but wouldn\'t be surprised if it was. I haven\'t done anything about it (like I ever do?) :p

Not too surprised the dealerships won\'t do anything about it ... BUT ... which dealer did fat mike take his fog light problem to? If it wasn\'t Avante or Dave Wood, lets give both of them a try.

I don\'t have the problem at all and my fogs are on 24/7.
