My opinion...Just plain don\'t like them. They look like they would be a pain in the a** to clean too. I\'m thinking more down the lines of a matte black finish that is less busy.

Spring time with tire change will be the target.

I really like them.... they look similar to what the audi A3 comes with.

I saw that car and rim in person today when I went to Avante. That rim would look really good on a sedan but not so much the hatch. The 2006 Mazda6s are really good looking, the blue V6 in front of Avante is hawwwt.

EDIT: Check out the stock tires it comes with...Pirelli P-Zero Nero...:hoho

While it\'s in awesome tire, it pretty much guarentee\'s that one has to buy winter rims and tires which for some people is a pain.

I think for our winters it is well worth the investment in winter rubber. There\'s nothing worse than doing a 360 on the 401!

Seems like Mazda Canada decided on different centre-caps than everyone else (USA, Japan, etc...):

I still think the stock 17\'s are better, even the Mazdaspeed6 wheels are ugly.

Did you happen to notice if that 6 at Avante had the black taillights?

Those 18\" don\'t look that hot, sorta looks like a snowflake to me.

I prefer the 18\" from the RX8, those look nicer.

Actually the pic at the top is before the PDI. The black insert goes on afterwards.. Looks even better...

i don\'t like it that much,
at least in pics, need to see how it fits
on the car to judge it better

and i agree with iconicrocket
the RX-8 18s are nicer!!

I saw a 2006 MZ6 today with the 18\'s and I thought it looked good. The rims make it look quite a bit different then the 04\'s and 05\'s.

TheBiz,

Is it a good idea to put a large 18 inch wheels on a car thats not that powerful, the 2.3L Mazda6? Add that to 18 inch PZero Neros which come standard on that rim. I know theres nothing such as too sticky a tire, but it just seems weird to me.

How about little ricer Civics running 18\'s? Now which 2.3 6 are you reffering to? The base 2.3 runs on 17\'s and the Mazdaspeed 6 with a 2.3 has the 18\'s.

I believe the new non- Mazdaspeed 2.3L Mazda6 can be optioned with 18-inch wheels fitted with P-Zero Neros.

I had the 2.3L MZ6 with the 17\'s and to be honest there was no problem at all. The car was still more then peppy, and I drove a model equipped with the 16\'s and felt no noticeable difference. I highly doubt that the plus one from 17\'s to 18\'s will make much difference. Slap a set of 20\'s on it and maybe, but not a plus one.

I\'ve put 12,000km on my 18\" RX8 rims and honestly I haven\'t noticed the car to be slower going from the stock 17\" alloys with RSAs to the 18\" RX8s with Kumho ASX.

A reason to put on 18\"s on the 3 is because it simply looks good.

I don\'t know what it is about the RX8 rims, but they just look great on our cars!

The RX-8 wheels look good on just about every Mazda.

I was in Ajax Mazda a long time ago, they had a red hatch with RX-8 wheels on it in the show room. It looked awesome.
