Hey guys..I really need some help here. It\'s my gf\'s b-day in just about a month and i have no idea what i can get her and anywhere to take her. Anyone have any good suggestions for me about presents or a good place to eat?
Just want to know what you guys get for your gf/wife on a special day.

I\'ve been with her for about 2 years and so far i have bought her mostly stuff animals since i ran out of ideas a long time ago. The biggest one i\'ve bought was the one at Market Village \"Ones\" the biggest Winnie the pooh there is. hehe..(regret so badly, so expensive) (and No i\'m not trying ot brag here) Also i got her a bracelet and necklace before.

Anyways...Please help me here :D

North 44 with a carriage ride around the lakeshore afterwards...

You can always make more money, but you can only make an impression once!

I will second the North 44 suggestion, I went during last year\'s Summerlicious...busy place (at the time), but the food was great!

You know, typical Yonge/Eglinton crowd...upwardly mobile clientele, nouvelle cuisine (read: small portions and expensive).

Heck, I\'d even suggestion going to Sassfraz in Yorkville.

Small portions and expensive eh? hmm i\'ll put that aside for now and see if there are anymore suggestions.

And sassfraz? Ok let me go do some research about that. Thx

Suggestions still needed :)

How about going to the place where you first went out as a couple?

How about Canoe in the TD Center downtown? Great food and a great view of the city. $$$

Or how about the CN Tower?

I might end up with CN tower. I\'m not sure yet tho

I think the CN tower would be perfect...Im sure you could see markham from there ;)

We\'ll it\'ll be at night so i think i won\'t be able to see anything or too much of anything.

hrmm if you can, try and aim for sundown at the CN tower..much more romantic I think.

Cn Tower is good, also on more of a dessert/couple fo drinks level. Panorama, 51st floor of the manulife center is really good for these types of events.
In terms of a gift, if you want something she will hold onto aside from a memory, a nice watch(dress type watch) is often a good idea.
Also depends, how much, roughly, are you budgeting for the gift/evening?

I think i\'m sticking with CN as of now and see what else i can come up with later on.

Hmm i want to get her a watch too but the thing is she does\'nt like wearing watches. And my budget for the day with dinner is something under $350 do\'nt want to go too crazy since were still young :D

The food at the CN Tower restaurant is not that great.....better off going somewhere else for dinner and perhaps Panorama for dessert.

What kind of food do you guys like?

You could also take her away for a night/week-end to a nice hotel.

The hotel idea is great and i would like that too but her parents are somewhat strict. And considering were only 20 and 19 so i\'ll pass on that.

Panorama is a good place i like it too. Oh anyone have opinions about Day and Night steakhouse? at steeles and midland?

Try Harbour Sixty (http://www.harboursixty.com/), the food there is the best I have ever had. It\'s kinda pricey, but the service is exceptional, the decor is very nice, huge throne like chairs etc....

Stay away from the wine list though, unless you have money to burn.

I took the missus there for her birthday last year.... she loved it

Just get a main course and a drink, thats all we could afford. They know they\'re expensive and they make sure its worth every penny for the customer....if you can afford just the mains I would really recommend it.

Whatever you come up with, have a great time.

First off, send her flowers to her work. It\'s pretty pricey but you cannot beat all the PR you get when it gets delivered to her desk. All her female coworkers will just fill her up with OOOHs and AHHHHs and AWWWWs.... and of course... \"Your b/f is sooo sweet!!! INSTANT BROWNIE POINTS!!!

Next just take her to a restaurant that some of the other people have recommended to you... you\'ll be set..

Hope this helps.

Haha...One problem about that is she\'s still in school. And i do\'nt think i\'ll send her flowers right to her school. too crazy. But thats what i\'ll defintely do if i\'m ever married with her:)

Get a bouquet of flowers or roses at the least and surprise her with them!!! They will never forgive you if you forget the flowers on her birthday. :p

If it\'s your two year anniversary and you care enough to post it on the forum, stay away from the cliché then... It\'s always nice to bring your girl to a place where you can only afford the appetizers, but it\'d be a much better time if you can set aside the budget and order the best food the restaurant has to offer... Try these:

The Oyster House at Distillery District (go early and enjoy the atmosphere there)
Senator\'s near Eaton\'s (nice evening of Jazz, but book early)
Remys Restaurant (Yorkville atmosphere at sub-150 level)

Hope that helps!

Why not try something like a theatre show? There are a lot of things you can do and not spend a ton of money.

I guess it depends if you are planning on getting dressed up or not. You two are still pretty young so look to have some fun! If you\'re into music and chilling out there are a number of lounges in the downtown area where you can kick back and relax.
