Is it not one of the best shows you\'ve ever seen? My wife and I have been watching since day one and no other show we\'ve ever watched has been this good. There are so many little hidden things too that we\'ve only just started to discover and look for.
Anyone else here into the show?

My wife and I started watching mid season last year and we can\'t miss a single episode. Where did Desmond go?

I dunno Majic, I\'ve watched 24 and still find this better. I guess it\'s just more my \"cup of tea\".

Who\'s Desmond?
TheProfessor

Desmond is the guy who has been living in the \"hatch\" for the last two years......the guy who calls Jack \"brotha\".

Did you catch last night\'s episode where Hurly was speaking Korean?

I can\'t stand watching Michelle Rodriguez on this show, it seems every movie she\'s in she has to play a badass girl, bad casting IMO. Hurley speaking Korean was hilarious, and Kate in shower scene was hot:D

Lost sometimes annoys me because of sooo much mystery. Good and bad thing I guess cuz I have to keep watching each episode to figure out what the heck it\'s all about.
Reincarnated as I borrowed the full first season DVD set from a friend. Bad idea. Now I\'m hooked. On disc 5 (of 6 total), episode 18 I believe. Yeah I\'m way behind. :)
So many damn questions that I want answers to!!!
Question: Do I need to watch the special/extra 25th episode to understand anything?

I love the show but I\'m convinced that it\'s a modern adaptation of Gilligan\'s Island. Think about it; you have a movie star - Charlie, the professor - Locke, the millionaire - Hurly (this week he finds his wife), Mary Ann - Kate (hotness factor of 10), we had Ginger - Boone\'s sister.
Either that or they are all dead and in purgatory.
i got season 1 on dvd.. im still waiting for season 2 to come out..
Gah, forcing myself not to watch it on TV until i catch up. :(
This week is episode 12 of season 2 I believe?
TheProfessor

wtom, do yourself a favor and don\'t start watching the current season unless you can watch if from the beginning. While we do get answers, more questions arise.

I watch Lost but I don\'t think it\'s the best TV show on the television right now.
What annoys me about Lost is that their main story gets \"lost\" in all those backflashes which in 90% of the time don\'t add anything new/intersting to the main plot. And once those characters get built they get killed instantly! Brilliant! :sarc
IMHO, Battlestar Galactica is that show.
I do care about the main characters and the story gets better with each episode. Maybe not the best overall, but definitely teh best sci-fi series right now.
Majic brought up a very good show - 24.
I haven\'t gotten a chance to start watching it but I\'ll come around someday ;)
May I suggest another terrific show, which I discovered recently?
It\'s called Boston Legal and it\'s on ABC, too. Its regular timeslot is on Tuesdays between 10-11pm. It\'s not for everyone on this board since it\'s about a law firm but the cast (William Shatner and James Spader) and the cases they tackle. W-O-W.
I\'m impressed that in the George W. Bush era there are people who stand up to him. No wonder that show gets no promos like other ABC shows do (i.e., that lame waste of time \"Invasion\") If you get a chance just watch one episode from the current season (Season 2) - it\'s called \"Witches of Mass Destruction\", episode #6 I believe.
You might find it on BitTorrent ;)
The other show which many have forgotten is The Sopranos
It was announced that the show will end its run this spring on HBO for good.

Personally I love the flashbacks....adds so much to character development.
As for Boston Legal, the wife and I have been watching that since day one (actually, even before when it was The Practice) and love the show.

Yup, still waiting. They started to air a really good filler show called Daybreak but that just got cancelled :( So many good shows are being cancelled. Anyone watch that show 3lbs for the 3-4 episodes it was on?

Lost is really starting to piss me off. They came back from a long summer and only showed what felt like 6 episodes before going off the air for three months. Now we're going to have to wait until February before they start up. I'm telling you they better hook me in the first episode back or I'm gone. They had great writing when it first started but now they taken a step back.
If I were the writers I'd put Kate in more episodes and less of Charlie. MORE KATE and LESS HOBBIT! If possible Kate should be wearing next to nothing.

Well in fairness to the show's creators, the long hiatus is a direct result of feedback from viewers from last season. Since they have to film much of the show on location they have no control over the weather. They have been filming this entire time so that they can now play 16 straight new episodes without one single rerun.

Reruns sometimes are not bad for this show for the sole reason that you can pick up stuff you might have missed. The beauty of the show is there is so many hidden things/clues that can go right over your head while watching.
I didn't know about a lot of things until I read a couple of the boards dedicated to the show.
LOST RULES in HD.

Yeah, I figured they will make a big thing about the girl with the spinal problem and then bam, "I'll pay for the surgery" it is predictible... But I love the show.
Oh Yeah, and I don't watch Lost either..
Isnt it just Survivor, but with a script?

You better run. Go watch them drop the soap in Prison Break :p
The secret as to why LOST is such a good show IMO is the character development. Each character has such a deep history and all are very interesting. What's more, as time goes on we learn that they are all inter-connected in some way.

Hey, I don't think any LOST fan will ever argue about the shows realism, they did after all survive an unsurvivable plance crash ;)
Unless however one of the more popular theories turns out to be correct where they are all in pergatory on the island.

+1 to the above (repeat episodes - can't say for HD)
A coworker has a book on Lost and it gives all these other little details that you may have missed - i.e. something to due with police cars all showing up (think it has to do with Seyour) all of the squad car numbers are the numbers that Hurley played and were on the hatch.

Yeah, we heard about that. You could sit and talk about all the hidden stuff till you turn blue in the face. Did you know that in the credits of Mission Impossible III the Hanso Foundation is thanked!?! That's because JJ Abrahms is associated with both.

the writers have said taht they put those numbers on everything but they have no connecting meaning.
