I have 3 winter tires that i can get for free becasue they were for my dads car. He left and isnt coming back and im left with 3 new winter tires. Problem is my tires are 205/55R16 on the stock 6.5 inch rim i believe, his tires are 215/55R16. Can i fit 215 on the stock rim, or do i need to purchase some stealies that\'ll fit the 215\'s. I have a sport GS, and the rims are 16 inchers..

You might have to step up to a 7\" wide rim to fit the 215\'s....I think they might be too wide for a 6.5\" wide rim.

according to tire rack you can fit 215 55 16 tires on rims 6\"-7.5\" wide, so you should be fine the stock 16\" rims are 6.5\" wide.

It is also good to know that the speedometer will be 1.7% slower with the 215 55 16 tires. It won\'t be that noticable. When your speedometer reads 100km/h you are actually going about 102km/h.

thanks for the reply guys. Does anyone know where i can get a hankook Icebear W604 in 215/55R16. I know they stopped making them last year. but i need to find one. any help would be appreciated. i have 3 brand new ones and am missing one. i dont want to have 3 hankooks on my car and 1 different brand tire. Ill look around tire stores and suck but if any of you know where i could find 1, that would help a lot.
