I sucessfully picked up my springs yesterday and brought it to skoo to lower it myself and a few friends. It was a bit*h to install it but we managed to do it (with the teachers help of course). 3 hours of labor cause we weren\'t 100% sure how to do it so the teacher guided us through the whole process. So here are some pics.

Sry for the bad quality i forgot to bring my camera so i used my phone.

Looks great to me, but how is the ride? Way more stiff, just a bit, etc.

Um..maybe this is the first car i ever lowered and i\'m not used to sitting in lowered cars. So i think it\'s a decent stiffness. I can feel bumps on the road and especially going in plazas. Good thing i didn\'t go for S-techs. Too low for winter. H-techs now are making me happy.

Looks great. Report back to us with some differences you find in \'spirited corners\', off ramps, on ramps, left hand turns and some sharp rights when it\'s dry out and your tires have warmed up.

Yeah, if I were to lower my 3 I\'d likely go for the H as opposed to the S also.

After i installed the springs today i gave it a spin on the highway and when i got off at kennedy from 401going east. I gave it a big left turn on kennedy and it kind of slided to the right cause maybe it\'s the tire or there is crap, sand, dirt or whatever is on the road that is causing it. (sry if i\'m not making any sense, not too good in english.)

Also i just had a frd that lowered his GS with S-techs and i found out it looks just like me lowering with H-techs. So maybe that 1 inch rim size makes it look the same?

HID next. Then hopefully after winter custom pipe with HKS hi power muffler. (i want to keep the cat there)

I\'ve never sat on a 3 or any car with S-techs. I would love to feel it bounce :D

Also my gf is already complaining that its bumpy and if i lower it with S-techs shes going to annoy me everytime she sits in it. :sarc

The S-techs on the 3 aren\'t bad. You\'ve sat in my car before - when I had the S-techs, they rode softer than the coilovers.

btw - a teacher helped you with the install? I find the sorta funny. :p Can\'t really picture it.

I thought last time i was in your car you had the coilovers on. And how is it funny how my teacher helped me install it? haha he\'s suppose to help me since i\'m in his alignment class.

I had the coils, and they ride stiffer than my springs (I used to have S-techs).

Car looks sweet Kevin. Sorry I didn\'t have time to send you pics of my car lowered with the H-Techs. Car handles amazingly in the corners, just need to change the tires so they stick. My wife went so fast she started drifting (Scary!)

You get use to the stiffer ride. It\'s not a big difference.

Enjoy:D

I thought my car handled good with the springs and shocks...now it handles better, and then some. Rides quite a bit rougher though.

Ahh... the clone car...

H-Techs are a great ride. Not to wild...but give ya the look and handling you need. Good for light track duty too.

Better get a stubby soon too!

Good job PH! The drop doesn\'t look too different from the S-Techs.

I\'ll save you a stubby once they all come in.

lol.. I wasn\'t expecting that response.. I almost started laughing out loud at work!! :p

u\'ve just been majoogled.. don\'t take it personally.. he does it to everybody.. S tech\'s are lower than the H tech\'s from what I hear.. so if you have 17 inch rims you better go with the H tech\'s..

sorry, but I can\'t help out with the price and where to get them.. I\'m not planning on lowering my car and I don\'t know anything about it besides the ride is bumpy (which I don\'t like)..

see this is the problem.. newb posts a question, which has been asked and answered MOST LIKELY.. people tell him/her to search and find the meaning of life (err real answer) and then you jump in and duplicate the info and give him/her the easy way out..

it\'s like bad parenting.. kid does somethingbad.. parent says \"do not do that\" .. kid does it again .. parent says \"oh well they are still young and stupid\" and lets them get away with murder..

i wouldn\'t want to be your kid :sarc
