ok
i went to court on edward street for a speeding ticket that i got a while back!
either way it was a first attendence
so i got it plead down to 60 in a 50 and no points
i can live with that!
but i was coughing really bad, i tried to postpone the court date, but
it couldn\'t happen cause the cancelled the first attendence program!
so i am sitting in the corner of the waiting area, after making the deal
because i now have to go b4 the justice of the peace and plead guilty
so i am coughing and coughing
and coughing and coughing,
and i noticed that people were looking at me like i had SARS or something,
and no one was coming near me, people all moved away,
i was offened!
but hey, what can you do right??

Haha... you sure you don\'t have sars? j/k
If you plead guilty, then you will have a conviction on your record and insurance will still go up.
The only way to avoid that is to get it thrown out by going to court.

You\'ll have to argue with the officer that wrote it. And your argument has to stand-up in court. Was the officer there? IF you ask to question the officer and he wasn\'t there, the charge gets thrown out.

true
but the officer already dropped it from
87 in a 50 to 75 in a 50
so i doubt he would agree to drop it anymore
and i didn\'t know the officers would be on work to rule when i got the ticket and decided onthe first attendence
and then if i booked a court date
it would be like 9 months from now
and they would be back to regular work . . .
arg

Shit happens, just book the court date and go. Make the officer work for his donuts. :D
Once you go to court, everything else is a piece of cake.
I fought some of my parking tickets just for starters, so I get a feel of the court and the judicial process. And got them reduced to $5 each. Hehehe.... :D
Got one ticket thrown out.

Stop Speeding so much, and getting caught. Then your rates wont skyrocket.

its not like i have speeding tickets of like
100 in a 50 or whatever
i get booked going like 20ish over the limit
once i was booked at 17 (before the reduced it)
so,
don\'t tell me you people don\'t drive 20 over the limit
cause that is bullshit!
i have just been unlucky and got caught a few times . . .
thats all!

speedlimit on the streets change all the time. from 50 to 60 to 70 I think for highway 7. I see flying at like 80 to 90 on the streets all the time. I\'m actually more concerned about reckless drivers who weave in & out.
I feel for you Broli. Must be the orange that\'s catching their attention. :p

I think blue dragon was telling me that he went to those xcopper type ticket fighting places and they got it dropped. sure you pay them $200 but at least you don\'t have anything on your record. And if you lose, you dont pay them.

Yep! I was going 85 in a 50. I went to a ticket fighter and they fought it off for me. I paid $200 bucks and now I still have a good record.

just be careful b/c to them a win is then getting you to plead guilty to a lesser charge - sometimes they can get you off the ticket completely.. sometimes not and you still pay their fees and then insurance.. :sarc

Fine, I wont tell you I dont do it. I do. But you can\'t cry about it. You have no one to blame but yourself. I have no pitty for this. I speed. I know I do. If I get caught you\'ll never see a post of me complaining, because I did it.

so relax man,
it know if i get caught speeding it is my fault
i ain\'t looking for sympathy
i ain\'t looking for nothin except to
vent a little frustration,
so calm down man!
