Has anybody had a problem with their clock not keeping the time?

I\'ve had to adjust the time 4 or 5 times in the past couple of weeks, the last being yesterday morning. My watch said 7:05 and the clock was way behind and displaying 6:51.

I just took my car in for its first oil change and the guys at Prima said they\'ve seen it on a few Mazda3s and Mazda Canada may have put out a TSB for it.

Are you sure your watch isn\'t the one out of sync ;)

I have noticed that to although not as extreme as yours... I set my time to coincide with 680 news (traffic and weather on the ones :) ) and I find the clock goes ahead after a while by a minute or two, but never more than that. Doesn\'t bother me enough to complain about it.

Same problem with my 2006 GT Sedan. Time goes back anywhere from 10-30mins. I\'ve set it 3 times in the last few weeks.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the trip computer?

Already all over it.. As many of you already know, the HU on the 2006 is different from the 05 and 04. I have another client that my service guys are looking at that the clock is losing about 45 mins overnight.. Don\'t know anything about it yet. She just came in today..

If I know about it, so will you guys.

As it stands I think it is only happening to the 2006 and it is too early to judge if it has anything to do with the trip computer..

Maybe the cars are being abducted right from the owners\' garages.

:D

Seriously though, so far I\'ve been \"lucky\" as my clock has been dead on since I got the car three weeks ago.

Funny how I just set my clock last week after the time change, and today it was slow by 45 minutes.

Got into my car this morning and to my surprise the clock was behind 20 minutes. On the up side, for a minute there I made it into my office in record time.

Well, our 2006 MZ3 (my car) just had it happen for the first and only time over the week-end.....the clock lost about 20 minutes.

Does your trip computer work (km\'s remaining)? A member just posted that since having that feature \'fixed\' by Mazda their clock has been dead on.

My clock is not keeping time properly.
I thought that it wasn\'t set right at first but it has fallen behind again.

Mine has been ok since I fixed the trip computer just before Christmas last year. Before then, the clock was losing time daily.

There\'s a new flash out for this I just got mine done. It also fixes the miles / km remaining guage for the 06\'s

I\'ve been keeping an eye on this problem myself. So far it\'s only happened to me once. Approx 1 week to 2 weeks out of the dealership. The clock hasn\'t lost time since and mileage remaining reading has always worked properly as far as I can see.

Very strange.

I had the flash for the km remaining done, but that did not fix the clock problem. My clock lost time a couple weeks ago again.

Ok then an update.

It\'s been over a month since my clock fell behind. After having adjusted it I haven\'t noticed any problem until yesterday when it crept ahead one minute. Today as I started my car it was 5 minutes ahead.

I\'m pretty sure the car is farking with my mind. Anyone else finding the clock time moving forward?

It\'s been about 3months now since I last reset the clock, and I haven\'t noticed any real issues.

When I had my clock set to tick on the minute exactly the same time my cell does. It seems to have also gone ahead by roughly a minute and a 1/2. It\'s not too much of a concern for me so I\'m leaving it as is.

Well, my car\'s clock was a full 45 minutes behind when I started the car this morning. I hope Mazda has a fix for this when I go in for my first service in May.

I don\'t have the problem but I stumbled upon this....maybe this can help a few of you.

Thanks for that Link 3GFX.

My car goes into Mazda Brampton tommrow for it's 8000km service and I have mentioned the clock problem to the Service Manager.

The link posts Vin #s that are affected and even tho we bought our car in August of '06 it was produced before the clock repair was done at the factory (January according to link).

My clock just started doing this a few weeks ago, except unlike most who've posted, mine is an '04, not an '06. I've had to reset my clock at least 3 times now, with the loss ranging from 45 min. to 7 min.

Anyone find out why this happens or how they are fixing it? I'm going to bring it up when my car is in for service early April.

I'm not sure if someone else has already covered this, but here's what happened to me.

I have a 06 3 Sport GT.
Originally the clock was fine, but the Distance Remainingg was just -----. Got the HU flashed and Distance Remaining worked, but the clock started to gain and lose time with no particular pattern. Had the Clock replaced and the time has been accurate every since. The Distance Remaining still working fine.

I mentioned the problems to the service advisor, Mazda of Brampton. Parts were ordered and installed, no issues, all done under warranty. There must be some sort of TSB.

Hope this helps someone.

It is a known problem and the LCD is the issue.. From what I know it has only affected the 06s.. but it is a warranty covered fix... just go into a Mazda dealership. it is a well known problem.
