I chipped a rim brought it in for service to a local dealer in Ottawa. The dealer itself did not have alignment so before they checked it...they sent me to their sister dealership hyundai, there they put on my spares and decided that I needed new wheel bearings lower control arm etc etc. I decided whatever so brought it back to Mazda and they fixed. It.. well sort of.. AFTER they fix it the ABS lights came on, they changed the wheel sensors no luck, ABS module no luck, finally the drive shaft fixed it. So thats like 3 days of bringing it in. (on warranty)

So now about this noise.. the noise came on only AFTER they put the spares on. They blamed in on the spares... After everything was fixed I got new rims and tires and still the noise was there, they found a weird scuff on the rotor.. its like a short but deep grove so they ordered the part and fixed it. But still the noise is tehre... it was never there before they touched it even after I broke the rim.... so what is it.. its a whrilling noise when I stop.. try to brake,, its whrilling n grinds.. no squeal.. and it ends when i finally stop... its pretty loud. And i tested my other mazda 3 fren\'s cars and no such problem.

I need a dealer who can fix it the same day, this is obviously a warranty problem, so.. which one of the delears here can access any possible parts needed to fix it the same day? I dunt mind bringing it in first thing in the morning.. I will drive 4 hours there is i have to.. but you have got to fix it the same day. I dunt wanna waste time with dealers here in Ottawa, they take a day to get parts and if it doesnt work they need another day and it goes on and on.

Let me know

Unfortunately you don\'t have too many dealer choices out in Ottawa. My suggestion is either take the trip back to Toronto or a neighboring Mazda dealer.

Thats the thing... the people here suck big time and dunt know what the heck they are doing. In TO since the parts depot is in TO, can you guys get parts same day and fix it same day?

So did they put new control arms and wheel bearings? A bad wheel bearing can cause that noise. As far as part availability it all depends on what is needed. If you bring the car in first thing in the morning then you have a better chance of getting necessary parts the same day.

hey thanks for the reply.

This is what they fixed:

BP4L 33 031 KNUCKLE
BP4L 33 047 TAPER BEAR
GE4T 33 048 RING RETAI.
B32H 34 350A ARM.LOW.

I was most probably conned into getting all those things done seriously, because it was just a slight whell damage it was hard at all, if i brought it somewhere else to get an opinion, I probably would have saved myself hundreds ... anyways...

They changed the L front rotor for the scuff and the noise is still there.. I am sick of dealers here seriously I cant go on day after day after day, waiting..they act as if they do not get paid for warranty work so..... theres no much point going back again and be suckered...

Do you think you guys can fix it? Like is there a way you can help by telling you service people this needs to be looked at first thing, And needs to be fixed same day coz I am coming from out of town. if so I will either drive there morning reach there noon, you guys look at it order the parts, then fix it somewhat same day or if not the next day if the noise is still there then order n fix it again next day...

what do u think?

thing is these people here fix one thing dunt bother checking and say the noise is gone..... its very problematic if people do not bother and take pride in their jobs

Contact Vincent in service and he\'ll make sure you get looked after. Tell him you\'re situation that you\'re coming from out of town and want to make sure you can make an appointment to drop off and that you need the car fixed same day.

The tech will have to look underneath the car and see what\'s been done. Also road test to hear the noise.
