hey guys
i ended up just taking a job down in ajax. i\'ve never even been there before but i am starting in january. anyway is anyone out from that direction other than john? just trying to see if i might know anyone out there since way it sits now i\'m gonna be out there bored out of my mind.
I lived in Ajax for most of my life, but now I live in Brooklin/North Whitby. I currently work in Ajax(pickering village), where are you going to be working? It isn\'t that bad. Night life could be better but there are some alright places. Are you moving out this way?

took a job working for the racetrack casino being built just outside ajax. i\'m trying to find an apartment in witby/ajax/oshawa area. i have never been there and have been placing phone calls all over the place it seems. going to try and find a 1 bedroom apartment somewhere nice but not to far a drive to the casino. I am planning a trip to the area on friday to look at apartments and the surrounding areas. if you have any suggestions on where to check out let me know since i have zero knowledge of the area and any places that could be eliminated before i drive down or places i could add to my trip would be sweet.
If you are looking for an apartment close there are some buildings on Hwy 2 in whitby about a 2 minute drive from the casino area called White Oaks. They don\'t have the best reputaion, my friend from work lived there for about 3-4 years and said it was alright. There are also a bunch of Apartment buildings on Harwood south of the 401, these are also very close to the casino. Another spot to check would be off of church st. south of 2 there are 2 buildings, the one on the west side of the street is pretty nice. The one on the east isn\'t as well kept. Sorry I don\'t know too much about the apartment, I hope this helps. A few of my friends have rented some nice basment apartments around here, but they seem to be harder to come by. If you are looking to buy a house there are tons of new subdivsions going up. As well as some older homes at good prices. Good Luck!
If you are looking for a new homelet me know, I work for a lot of the builders around here designing and doing working drawings. I could tell you who to check out and who to avoid, stuff like that.
I forgot to ask, where do you live now?

I live in Oshawa, and was working in Ajax/Pickering for a couple years, but just started a new job in downtown TO today...
I\'d suggest going to the Durham website which also lists apartments for rent that are normally in the local paper. This will cover Pickering- Bowmanville.
