Before anyone says I need to post under a separate, existing thread (yes, that means you majic. And Fanghead too as he seems to have taken up the cause), you can fack off. :D

What a wonderful set of rubber. Purchased for my Mazda6 in 215-60-16 for $670 (tires only) and mounted to some 16\" Mazeda OEM alloys (got them from a wrecker for $230). I suspect the lower profile size for Mz3s might be $40 to $60 more for the set.

Anyways, these puppies are smoooooooooooth on the dry. I think they are better than the stock Michelins (don\'t remember what they are). At 140km/h, they are rock steady. I recall going 120km/hr in the Miata with Nokians, and the tires were loud and the ride was \"squirmy\".

Up in the Pole where I live, there\'s a layer of ice patches and a dusting of snow (half inch?) on the ground. Lots of grip.

These are much quieter than the set of X-Ice I have on the SUV. The set of Winter Duelers (Blizzaks for SUVs) on the old SUV was the best set of winters I ever had.
Sold the car before I could do a long term test, but those things cut through snow like a hot knife thru butta.

All in all, the Dunlops have the best noise level and ride so far (hands down). Can\'t wait for a snowstorm to really test these puppies out.

So, those are the rambling thoughts of a senile, old man.

nice.. tell us more when the white fluff falls :D

anyway.. there probably should be a thread (not to be confused with a tire tread) for each winter/summer tire that has a review but what you were referring to was \"heeeeey everyone tell me what tires u got and how u lik\'em\" -- too many of THOSE threads.. anyway.. i digress..

anyone else with M3s? :)

Great choice. From all the reviews I\'ve read - they\'re the top rated tire in the performance winter category.

sorry to hijack this thread. but i\'m new to the 3 club and i tried searching but here comes a newbie question. what are the tire specs that i will need for winter tires for my sedan gfx? i\'ve read that the bigger brakes will cause a problem with some rims. any help would be greatly appreciated.

What if you\'re such a noob that you don\'t even know what a rotor is? :p

205/55/16 size. Minimum 16\" wheels to clear the brakes for the 2.3L cars.

Some people are very predictable. Like majic, by academic training, he\'s like a bot - cold and ruthless in process and effective in obtaining results. So you know it\'s coming, like it or not.

I expected more of you, based on my assumption that you have a liberal arts background! You either didn\'t do very well in the liberal arts or are willing to drink the majic cool-aid.
