Hey people, as of recently there have been alot of cracked windshields. I know a bunch are interested in possibly getting a group discount so in order to keep track, put your name on the list so we know how many people there are.

I\'m basically waiting until the winter is over and done with cause right now there\'s still alot of crap on the road. Might as well use this POS cracked windshield for one winter, then I\'ll get it changed in the spring when there is less debris on the road.

Hiya all I can try to arrange a \"Group Pricing\" please give me a email at j_liu@erinmillsmazda.com. Let me see what I can arrange for you guys.
I would be interested to know in confidence what prices have been quoted for you thus far.
I would also like to inspect the windsheild to see if it is actually a stress crack or not. Bear in mind the rule of thumb is that stress cracks usually should eminate within the first year of driving - usually due to the fact the glass was incorrectly installed at the factory. Other facts to cause windsheilds to crack - extreme cold weather soft impact, ie snow brushes, with the defroster blowing on the windsheild - this one is a freak crack. I have seen car jockeys chipping away at a windsheild and thusly cracking them - another freak crack. Existing stone chip, you have just weakened the glass substantially with this. I did this in my own BMW on the DVP several years back, I had a really small chip on the bottom of the windsheild for months, it was a cold night that night, I turned on the Defrost- all of a sudden CRACK - a 3 foot spiderweb crack eminated from the really tiny stonechip. Oh well $1300 later...
So to put in a nutshell, I would love to help you guys/gals as best of my ability, all I can promise is that I will try.
Cheers,
Jerry

Still trying to source out a cheaper supplier for you guys/gals. So far the price is still way up there. But I am still awaiting some responses from some other suppliers. Have not been in the office the last few days - on training.
I will keeps you\'s all posted!

Did anyone\'s windshield problems begin with a slight thumping/tapping noise that seemed to come from the windshield when you drove over a bumpy surface?
My car has been back to the dealership where they strapped down a wire harness and some venting... the sound is still there tho\'.
fyi - the car is only 4 weeks old.

Yes, stone hit windshield, 6\" crack from bottom up. What the f**k! We all know this is probably going to be expensive. Someone, if anyone has gotten a price on a new windshield, let me know- group buy or not! What\'s up with the rule for group buys! Never seen it before.

Look in the GB section for the rules.

Aha....sorry about that.

Anyways, I will enquire about becoming a vendor here.
Just trying to help alleviate the high cost of replacement windsheilds.
Since I visit once in awhile, I did not happen to \"READ\" the disclaimers. Once again sorry.

I found out a price at Westown Mazda for the replacement windshield. $580 +tax. Not including install which is farmed out. I think I am going to Apple or Standard auto glass. Much cheaper and they may pay the insurance deductable.
