Finally received my LEDS yesterday and after 4 hours of dismantling and sodering this is the finished product. Although is still have to change the 4 LEDS at the bottom of the A/C unit which I have no clue how to take apart if someone knows please help. I would have changed the 3 knobs for the A/C unit but they use incandescent light bulb and not LEDs so I have to leave it red.

I still don\'t know how to take apart the HVAC unit, if someone knows some help would be great.

I have read that the 3 HVAC knobs can not be changed as they\'re incandescent bulbs not LEDS. The only thing I can change on the HVAC unit is the 4 buttons below the knobs.

it seems as if the bulbs are white/yellow with the red colour coming from a translucent red sheet?

what do you think??

Buy this one...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/A-C-Heater-Control-Unit-04-Mazda3-Mazda-3-OEM_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33545QQitemZ8030050 465QQrdZ1

Then you can test getting the right blue and making it look perfect.

Hey Hypothrml,

Awesome mod! I was thinking about doing the same thing once I (hopefully) get my Mazda3. Any way you can post some instructions?

Thanks!

(BTW, first post. :D )

Too bad you bought an extra unit, I was eventually gonna sell my unit when I change over to an aftermarket deck.
