Okay, sorry, it\'s for a Mazda6, but had to share... are the Mazda3 intakes dyno proven?

Apparently, the CP-e intake (http://www.cp-e.com/2001.html) provides +15hp and +15tq avg and +24hp and +20tq peak dyno proven. AND more importantly, many Mazda6 members have confirmed the bump in performance. It comes with a mass airflow customizer whatever the heck that is.

To my door, this puppy cost me $750. Yikes. But if everyone who has this thing is right, it\'ll provide more than just sound.

say good-bye to any left-over warranty as, IIRC, the MAF Customizer has to be spliced into either the ECU or the MAF wiring :p

WUD, $750 sounds like an aweful lot of money for that intake. Didn\'t Balhar (from the 6 forums) have a problem with his as well?

agreed - tell me about it. aem for the mz3 only ran $300 IIRC.

everyone had alot of positive things to say about this... maybe his problems were as a result of bad connections with the wire splice...

i bought when cp-e had a winter promo. $50 off and they rarely go on sale (apparently). But once you factor in exchange for the USD500, then delivery, then GST/PST (thank goodness they agreed to send USPS, otherwise maybe another $70 brokerage charge)... it works out to a lot of money. my x-mas present to me.

Very happy with it, love the sound, the extra bit of power is noticeable as per previous thread discussions. Glad I don\'t have to remove it for the \"wet\" season, only problem is the gas mileage I get.

I average about 400km a tank, the missus gets around 500km, but she don\'t appreciate the sound...

I\'m just a kid with a slightly noisy toy :sarc

bwahahahahaha!!!!

no scotchlocks or soldering into the 6\'s computer now! CP-e by-pass module (http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=46350). Handy for those little trips to the dealer.
