Hey Everyone,

I am able to get my hands on some VERY lightweight BSA Wheels. The rim is the BSA 303. These rims weigh in at 16lbs each, and right now I can get them in Silver, with a polished lip :) Anything else, and I may be able to special order.

Wheel is 17\" x 7\"
40mm offset

Online:
http://www.wheelmax.com/Specials/bsa/303.gif
http://www.bsa.com.my/web/newfproduct_full.htm (BSA Site)

Price:$700. This includes taxes and possibly shipping to your door!

I can throw in a set of tuner lugs for $35 extra also.:D

Thanks for looking,
John Weatherbie

Are you guys sure of the weight? I bought 16\" 303\'s with Fuzions last year and I was quite disappointed with the overall weight - but then again, maybe the Fuzions are heavy.

A la bathroom scale, the old 15\" Mazda alloys and OEM Toyos were 35 to 36 lbs. I expected the 16\" 303\'s and Fuzions to be in the same overall range, but it ended like 38 or 39 lbs total. Just made me think that the 16\" 303s were in the 18lb range. But again, bathroom scale crap.

23lbs?! That sounds kinda heavy for a 16\" tire, don\'t you think? Fug!!!

Well, I did post a pic before of the rims and tires on my Mz3. Majic, click here for pics (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/search.php)

If it still eludes you, try using the search terms \"rice\" or \"cheese\". Yes, my first foray into aftermarket wheels yielded less than spectacular results... thus my embarassment and subsequent self-exile to the Mazda6 world. ;)

I do intend to use the setup for track days this year. I think I\'m going to have to roll the Mazda6\'s fenders though as it\'s a +42 or +40 rim...

Tric,

17x7 with a 40mm offset will work fine, and you can use your stock tires if you\'d like :) I should know... I am running those specs, just different wheels. Also no worries if you want to lower. I am dropped almost 2\" and I have no rubbing :)

Shoot me an e-mail if your interested: jweatherbie (at) gmail.com

I would be more than happy to set something up with you ;)

Thanks!
John

And you don\'t have any rubbing? Do you have any pics? Also, if I were to special order, how long would it take to get here?

Furthermore, what tyre setup do you have?

No rubbing at all.

Here are some:

Its lower this year, as these are old pics.

I would have to check stock, but a special order can take up to 2 weeks. However, when I posted this message, some were in stock.

Do you think with a 225/45/17 tire that I would rub? With a Progress drop? :hoho

I don\'t want to say yes, just to sell a set of wheels. I am not sure. I looked through the FAQ on M3F, and found not much about that size with a 40mmoffset and drop. I think a 215 would be better, but your speedo would be off 1.8%, which is not much.

I would make a post on M3F, just because of all the different sizes guy are running. :)
