Purchased OMP strut from a good guy this weekend, bubba! (aka adam) Painted it all up last night, and while painting it, i got the urge to paint my engine cover. I kept the grooves on either eisde black, as well as around the mazda emblem, everything else was primed and then painted chr. elctric blue and the clear coated. I needed 2 cans of primer and 2 cans fo paint, only 1 can of clear coat. I used a product from CTIRE, one of there auto paints, its almost a perfect match to the WB. Only if you hold the paint next to our car would you notice the difference, i think it looks great under the hood. I only hope it holds up as well as the clear coat says it will! The install onn the strut bar had its \"difficult times\" but all n all wasnt too bad. The back bolts on either side were difficult to remove due to lack of \"head\" room. They were harder to get in but with some patience and an adjustable, all was good. Hope you guys like, as this is my first official mod other than pedals and stereo!

Looking good, nice work! Did you feel a difference with the addition of the strut tower bar?

Looks good bRANDO!

You guys with the 04 and 05 models have an advantage on the 06 models with respect to the engine cover. Ours are pretty ugly because of the lack of detail in the redesign. I\'m still not sure how to tackle mine.

The difference is there, just not alot of it. I notice it when changind lanes, and off ramps so far. The body roll is reduced, i certainly had my expectations low after reading most of the thread on strut bars. Perhaps the hatch feels the difference more than the sedan would? All in all i think its a good addtition! Thanks for all the comments i think my next task is SABIO\'s CAI if its still for sale!!
