fix it...hahah. not likely.

but... I did a qik search and found this..

......Trim and remove any burnt fibres. Gently rub the mark with a fine sandpaper and washing up liquid (soap) then a leave for a few minutes. Dissolve one tablespoon of Borax into one pint of warm water and sponge stain. Rinse off with clean water being careful not to make too wet.........

sorry to hear.. I hope it wasn\'t one of ur friends.. cuz that would put a damper on things..

but I don\'t think the dealership could do anything.. it\'s not something they could just sew a patch into and make it look better.. I say try what sabio posted up and maybe the burn will look that much better after cleaning it up.. good luck..

Smoke in the car, not set the headliner on fire. :D

Rule # 1 for all passengers: No smoking or eating in the car.

lol,

well, i still beleive in taking responsibility for things u allow!
lol,

if the guy deliberatly burned the headliner, i would kill him
and then take his money from his wallet
but . .
if it was on accident, i will let it go or split it!

Rule # 1 - Stipulation A - eating is permited unless the person is proven to be a messy
bastard! Then he is not allowed to eat in the car, and further more will be required to sit on a towel cause he is so dirty!

Needed: Tweezers and Crazy Glue

I got one of thoes in my car, not big though. I took some tweezers and pinched some of the material from underneith the sunroof controls, then I put the glue on the burn, then put the fibers / material collected from under the sunroof controls and put it on the glue, dry and your done. You can not tell I ever had a burn there, well... maybe if you knew about it, then maybe...

easy fix - most stereo or aftermarket sunroof installers will have fabric to match your headliner and the spray glue to bond it nicely. This could be a diys project.
Smoking is hazardous ......puff puff...cough...cough....to your cars health.....gag....puff puff

Yea sorry to see that happened to ure car. Ever since i got my 3 i stopped smoking in the car (while it is in motion that is :) ) ...that same thing happened to me in my last car which was a 2002 honda accord but it was on the driver side door handle..so now the only time i smoke in the car is if its in park position with the windows completely down and the cig outside the car when not puffing. I had some instances in the past when i threw out my butt, it came flying back in the car while driving and only to find it sitting on the back passenger seat...luckily it didn\'t burn anything :( so no more of that! lesson learned!

I would recommend that you stop smoking all together. :D
Other than thinking you look cool, there is no upside to smoking.

There\'s one upside, smokers tend to die early, leaving more room for non-smokers. :D

Only downside is that they might take you with them, thru second-hand smoke.

Where are you located. I too need some seat repair, i.e. cig burnt hole in backrest. There is a company in the GTA called concepts on wheels and they advertise on 640AM radio along with a show on Saturdays. I spoke to the owner on the show and for my seat its going to cost approx $200. As for your headliner, no harm in calling to find out.

Look in the yellow page for automotive fabric or such detailing shops. I had similar experience on a car seat before and they managed to fix it for around $150. However, it is probably a lot more difficult for the roof.

NOOO!!!!...I appreciate smokers very much as they are supporting our economies through taxes.:D
