Humming/Buzzing

Hey guys,

Just a quick question to throw out to you all to see if you can give me an answer, before i look into it further... with the dealership. Im getting a buzzing/humming noise from the passenger side engine bay, directly left of the engine belt, just below the coolant / power steering fluid. Im pretty sure it wasnt there when i picked up the car (a week ago) so i was wondering if anyone knows if this is normal or has had this before.... could be an electric pump from the sounds of it.... but doesnt seem normal.

i have that whine/buzz noise (not annoying and doesnt sound like something is wrong with the engine) too in my car when i first got it (up to now)...for me its normal and i just drive the car..........

Yup, I have the same sound but its louder when its cold out. Got it checked out at Avante Mazda and they said everything is okay. A co worker is having the same problem but I told her its fine.

Yea i have it too....was going to ask about it too but then i saw someone beat me to it! Now i just take it as a \"normal\" noise! :D

Are you guys sure it\'s not the whine from the power steering?

^...the noise is when the engine is in idle and yeah the power steering whines too when you turn the wheel and again those are normal engine noise for me...
