Cant select cd player from stereo console or steering wheel controls

Hi all,

Ran into a very weird problem today. For some reason I\'m not able to select the cd player through my stereo console or the steering wheel controls. I am able to insert/eject a cd. When I insert a cd, the cd player takes it, the sound pauses for a second and then it goes back to the radio.

Anyone have any advice?

any radio mods? sat/mp3 deck etc? original or burned cd? cd-rw? dirty cd? blank cd? dvd? :zzz

The only thing I have is my ipod audiolink hooked up to the back of the deck.

Cd is an original.

Remove the Audiolink or pull the negative battery cable for a few minutes and see what happens.

Everything is a okay now! :D

I tried pulling out the audiolink but it didn\'t solve the problem.

Then I tried pulling the cable on the bottom right side of the back of the stereo and as soon as I pulled it out the CD option was available again. Not sure what this cable is for? I know it\'s not the power cable since the unit still functioned when I pulled it out.

is that the cable in the foam coating with the orange/red tip?

Actually yes, that\'s the one. I wonder why it had an affect on my cd player working?

My radio/cd/mp3 player does that from time to time.

I also have the ipod/flashdrive link. I am pretty sure it is the cause..

I just turn the car off and back on, and it seems to function okay.
