Here Moosey Moosey
For those who know me, i was born and raised in newfoundland. Rather than spending the $500 plaine ticket to get my ass back to NFLD, id be more than happy to drive 4 hours up north to get the same landscape experience (minus the family and friends thing) This was my first time to northern ontario (past barrie that is, lol) and i was totally brought back by the scenery. It reminded me so much of home. The highway 60 which runs thru the park in itself is an experience to drive on. Rolling hills, evergreen trees (sigh) rock cuts (double sigh)...i was happy enuff jus by driving that highway (reminds me of the TCH in NFLD...)
We seen 3 moose, one of which was next to the highway (see last pic) maybe 20 feet away from where we were standing. The other off the highway across a bog, adn the other while we were walking on the Mizzy Lake trail in teh woods. 1 deer, which i never seen and almost killed bambi, a rabbit, 2 beaver, numerous Loons (never seen nor heard them before. and seen my first firefly....(they are amazing...but ugly as ****)
needless to say, i will be visiting algonquin again, i am hooked, i love it up there...no humidity, no haze...just pure great weather!
