i have the hid conversion kit aswell. Whent i had them hooked up i did the same thing as you. But after doing some research i found out my bulbs wouldnt last long this way. So i invested in the fogs off of ebay for like 70$. The wiring is all included for a switch.
These ones (http://cgi.ebay.ca/03-05-MAZDA-3-MAZDA3-4DR-SEDAN-OEM-CLEAR-FOG-LIGHTS-04_W0QQitemZ160006978805QQihZ006QQcategoryZ33709QQ rdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
its actually a cheap investment

Just to let you know I run my Prolumen HID\'s on all the time, so far have 105,000km\'s on them and bulbs show no sign of wearing out :)
They are good for ~3000 hours or 4 years with them on two hours a day everyday.

Hmmm I have fogs... but I have bypassed my DRLs and I have not done the independent fog mod... I run with nothing on during the day...
I guess you really \"want\" to be running some type of DRL to obey the law?
