WOW. They look awesome (the RX-8 rims). I don\'t know much about rims and how much they cost but $450 each sounds like a good deal.

Maybe you\'ll want to hug him once you see them!;)
But honestly, I like the rims... Kept looking at all the Rx8\'s at MOM because of that.

Anyone else want to give FLIPSPEED a cock punch? and then hug the rims. How much for the rubber on those rims?

Let\'s see.
$450.01 x 4
= $1,800.04 assuming 4 rims are bought.
That would be one STEEP b-day gift..... or any type of gift......
And then you have to worry about tires.....
*puts calculator back down and steps away from the computer*
Are RX8 tires the same ones that we\'d use on our 3\'s? Or do we need a lower profile?

rx8 tires are 18s.. so you\'d need 225/45/18 as per this source (http://www.mazda.ca/include/printtable.asp?tablefile=/eng/Vehicles/RX8/RX-8_subnav05_content02.xml)

Sorry, my question is would the 225/45/18\'s be a suitable tire for our 3\'s? Or do we need to go to a lower profile tire?

Most people put on 225/40/18 instead of the 45 sidewall on the 3\'s because, according to sources, it will rub. :hoho

what is the inside joke??? i think everything is pretty much laid out ..
225/45/18 and 225/40/18 would work.. it seems like 8/10 people (just made the stat up but roughly that) use the 40 series tire vs 45 when they put on 18\" rubber shoes on..

To get them 'hyper finished' at a rim reconditioner will run you about $225 per rim...
ridiculous.
