Sup guys,
I noticed there were a few guys of TM3 that had blue led plate lights on the rear of their cars.
i.e. http://www.lucero.ca/car_images/bod_0506.jpg
I like the look a lot, but really want to keep in the black/red theme of my car.
1. Does anyone know where to get those?
2. Haven\'t found a DIY on this mod yet so any help is welcome.
3a. Would the fact that it be red violate any kinda law....since red should mean brake lights?
3b. On the note of 3a, I actually would be curious to see the look, if it only went on when I braked!...Can anyone shed some light on how difficult it would be to synch the plate lights with the brake lights?
Thanks guys,
Bryan

someone will probably bust out the HTA.. but the licence plate is supposed to be illuminated white (i think) so red is bad.. so is blue :p especially if you\'re only going to illuminate it when braking..
the bulbd cam be bought anywhere.. check out a few of our affiliates to see if they cary them in red..

Canadian tire, mod section. You can get them in blue, red or white. bulb #194

find your manual, super easy change. But in case you don\'t have a manual...just go to the light fixture, its on two plastic clips, slide it out (don\'t break the clips) and change the bulb.

Anything but white is illegal. Red might be less illegal than blue if thats possible. Red would be original, I\'ve never seen anyone witha red one (i prefer blue).

Its possible, just wire it into the brake light lines, difficult though and time consuming. Keep in mind you have to have you rear plate lit at night at all times.

Great feedback, thanks!

Good pt! Although I\'m still curious, and am sure that with a bit of electrical creativity I could mount the red leds in addition the the stock white lights.....and have the white ones go off when I braked. But as you said, this would probably be quite time consuming for such a small mod......again.....I\'m still curious to see.

+3... But if you decide to do it... be ready for a $115 dollar fine.
