so when i got my car i was scared driving in the rain.. now with 60K on the car (and probably half of that on the RS-As (wow.. i just realized how shitty the treadwear on these is.. :omg ugh.. )) the car is more predictable in the rain.. maybe b/c i\'m not expecting them to grip as well .. maybe i finally got down to some good rubber and not plastic :p but they are surprisingly OK..

\'irregardless\' i can\'t wait to get the general exclaims on and see how they fare compared to these crappy stockers..

anyway.. that\'s it.. those tires still suck.. 280UTQG .. yah ok :crazy

i\'m coming up to 40k kms and my wearbar is almost there, i\'ve had the RSAs since new and used them for almost 2 full yrs.....i will be getting winters for this winter w/ steelies and this summer will be getting summer tires.

but ya, in the rain, they don\'t grip that well. But i\'ve been now accustomed to drive a bit slower in the rain just cuz i know i can\'t depend on them....even my parents old Maxima had RSAs, so i\'ve technically been driving on this tire for like a decade...

i know you\'re from oakville majic....have you ever plowed when its raining on neyagawa turning right onto uppermiddle?

without fail everytime....down hill slope to a 90 degree turn....everytime, my car will plow and i just straighten up my wheel a bit and drift to the outside lane....when there are no cars of course....

one time it caught me off guard, because i didn\'t thnk i was actually that fast, so i thought the tire would\'ve still held and i almost went over the curb...luckily it gripped and pulled back in the last moment....

i can\'t believe how shit they are :p but the winters will be the best investment.. even better than HIDs :thup

hmm maybe that\'s why i find them \'ok\' now.. b/c i\'m scared to push them :p so i go easy and they fare \'ok\'

My car is 72,000+ Kms on it and maybe 2/3 of the driving has been on the RS-As... and my tires are nearly bald.

The sad this is, I\'ve been hydroplaning as often now, as I have been 2 years ago with full tread :P

Not a fan of the RS-A\'s in ANy weather :ugh

My 17 inchers will have new rubber come next season.

My old Z24 came with RS-A\'s and they lasted about 65,000 kms. They were much better on that car because it was lighter.

I\'m coming up on 14,000 kms and I don\'t care what people say about these tires. They are the worst tires I\'ve ever driven on. At first I couldn\'t understand all the hostility about them. I assumed that if you drove carefully in the rain and paid attention you\'d be fine. Not so. I\'m constantly thinking \"is this where the tires let go?\"

I agree with everything majic posted in his rant. Except for the word \"irregardless.\" It doesn\'t exist.

My tires were the 1st thing I changed on my car for this reason. Around 25 - 30,000km. I didn\'t feel safe.

23k and my tires are 80% done. I ran them thru a few winter days and surprisingly i survived.

Winters for sure....

I barely survived our \"tame\" winter last year!

RS-A\'s = 0 out of 10.

Yeah man they\'re HORRIBLE in the winter. In the rain I don\'t have any problems with them but in the winter they are completely *ss but the summer they\'re just fine for me as I don\'t push the car that hard anyway. I definitely have to get a set of winter\'s as I don\'t wanna fear driving on the 401 again.

Considering you can walk on water I doubt water of any sort would affect your driving.
