Hopefully I can get my car back today... What I believe to be he alternator failed on me Wednesday night. Towed it to a shop I go to in Brampton & leave a voicemail & keys for it. Try calling all afternoon with no answer & finally get some at 4pm. Ask if they had a chance to look at it & they ask what's wrong... I'm confused & say didn't you get my voicemail? They respond saying they don't ever check voicemails they were just confused why it was there -.- I was pretty pissed off. They knew it was my car so they could have called me or something... If I knew they don't check voicemails I would have called them when they opened. He said they will look at it today so it better be the first damn car looked at. A place in Brampton said they have alternators for $60 so hopefully it will be that & a hour labour to fix it... Need my car.

BTW the new cop cars - Ford fusions/Taurus look really cool. Though I am not yet used to them as I am the crown Vic. With the crown Vic at least I recognize those headlights/taillights from a mile away. cant recognize any of the new Fords yet :(


From the rear it is very hard because it looks very close to the civilian model... if not exactly like it until you get close. Ofcourse the big give away for me is the reflective tape on the bumper and sometimes police is still written in but its faded to look more "stealth".

From the front the biggest giveaway is the grille. Civilian models come with the fancy ford chrome bars while the cops have a blacked out mesh grille ( which imo looks so much better).
I dont think they have fog lights ( they need that power for the crap ton of other lights they run) or any other chrome on the police package models.


The explorers are a bit harder because the civillian ones come with a package that makes the front look like the police package.

Yes sir. All done. I'm happy. Just their doctors hours SUCK because the failed at connecting the license plate late back on properly. So I went back last Friday to have them look and I was told that the workers left for the day. But at least they called a shop done the road and sent me there to have the light looked at which was nice. I hear ya. That was my only saving grace at the time. Otherwise wouldn't have been doing it. It's situations like that where being hourly is nice overly salary. But for the most part, I think salary does tend to win out for most people.

Holy crap had to hit my brakes hard on the 427 as a massive accident happened in front of me. I didn't see it but pulled up right after as ppl didn't even have their 4 ways on yet but lots of cars stopping. I didn't get hit either luckily. I stopped & asked if people around wanted help or to stay warm but everyone from what I saw were fine... A Mazda 3 black sedan was involved. Looked like they smashed someone. I left after everyone around me seemed ok & opp arrived really quick & left cause I didn't see anything I would just be in their way. Scary tho pulling right up to it after it happened & seeing ppl panic but atleast no one looked seriously hurt on my side of the highway..
