Hey Everyone,

It's Justin, not Ami. I have been working long hours lately, and I have been god-awful sick which is why I haven't been on this board at all.

I am currently working on the new forums for our club, and I wanted to find out from you guys what categories/sections you would like to see. so far, I have been putting things together based on what I think is best for our club, but I need your help.

Post up your ideas for the new forum setup and I will do my best to accomodate your request.

I read that the moment it was posted. Personally, I don't believe it and not because I don't believe Xenon, but because I don't know TM3 and therefore can't really trust him. Seems very funny that so quickly he's willing to give it up. I wonder why?

And another thing... what's the point of taking over a server that has so many security holes?!?!?!?! Running new software for the board won't make an ounce of difference.

Well could it be the fact that he doesn't/hasn't contributed anything to the club? ::)

Ok well besides the painfully obvious. LOL...

I am STRONGLY opposed to taking over a server that has that many security issues. However, if that's what you folks want to do, I must say that although I respect your decision, please don't ask me for assistance when the forums get hacked again, and they will, I can guarantee it.

I don't know enough about servers / security / IPs / slash / back slash / axel rose ... any ways. can't we just take the dfomain name and have it link to the new one?

As for structure and Catagories, why not start with everything we had, and then with 'active' admins and MODs we tweek as we go.

sure we can do mirror the previous site, a bit of work, but doable. As for linking old to new, or vice versa, sure thing.
Just to be clear, I don't want to force people to make a choice, my whole goal is a unified site/forum and club. By the Members for the Members.

Jeff,

Well what we can do is this... have torontomazda3.com redirect to wherever. Simple. We can keep both domains and everyone is happy.

I hope.

I think that is the best idea, just the same everything, with better software and admins that care (not a stab just the truth)

Justin, my point is that I want to see the content of the old site on the new one. There's alot of valuable information there (if it hasn't been erased) that should be used. The idea of redirection can work as you noted.

It's rather difficult to carry on a conversation while posting. Xenon's idea of a meeting as soon as possible is the correct course of action in my opinion. As it stands now we have well intending members going in many different directions all to achieve the same goal. I don't want to see anyone waste any of their time on this.

Please, lets get a meeting going and make the decisions.
