Is it possible to change the odometer and trip meters to display from Miles to KMs?
My friend was able to do it in his Impala.

you would probably have to buy an american guage cluster found here (http://search.stores.ebay.ca/mazda-3-cluster_W0QQfcdZ2QQfclZ3QQfnuZ1QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQs ascsZ0QQsbrexpZWD1SQQsifZ1QQsofpZ4QQssPageNameZWD1 S) and have to get it coded at a mazda dealer because as far as i know if you swap out clusters the dealer has to change it for you otherwise the car wont start

SBMonkey is from Texas so no need to buy an American gauge cluster. ;)

What namtnulb said. :D

And I'd only want to do this to simplify my MPG calculations and for importing purposes later on.

You may want to PM FlipDaddy or TheBiz, they work at a dealership, maybe they have some insight into this.

to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, you hold the power/vol button and Media button for 5ish secs.

I'm guessing the mpg change could be a similar key combo

I'm willing to bet it isn't so simple. Most cars with digital odometers need to be re-flashed the dealer's computer to do this. I know that the GM cars have to be done at GM with their Tech-II computers. I'm guessing this is the same with Mazdas.
