I have some Xenon aftermarket (55v) bulbs as fogs. I've already asked some members and they told me that Xenon bulbs typically get hotter than halogen. they are also slightly bigger?

Here's my concern, I think the heat from the bulbs are getting to the grey thing infront of the bulb. The piece is starting to spot up (Spotting in random places on the piece). I probably won't be running with these for too much longer.. I just want to know if this would be a big problem and that I should take them off now?

Thanks!

I run standard bulbs and my grey pc looks as good as new for almost 3 years now. I guess from the sounds of it I would change it. It makes sense what people are saying.

Yeah this happens with the factory H11 bulbs too.

I've seen many different cars running Xenon bulbs that have had problems. I've seen so many melted housings. As long as you get the same or lower wattage as the stock bulb, you should be ok.
