I would think infiniti, the current skyline's are infiniti
and they need to justify the price point with a badge that traditionally sells more expensive cars.

Actually Skylines were branded Nissan in Japan. The Infiniti brand is Nissans "Luxury" brand available in North America, Middle East, South Korea and Taiwan, but not Japan.

Nissan should keep it a "Nissan" if and when it comes to Canada.

Just wouldn't sound right as an Infinit G30R. :D

I know that. Maybe I should reword my post.

I kinda like the current Infiniti G35 Coupe better, cuz it's curvier and sleeker. Not enough power, to differentiate it from the rest of the field, IMHO.

My impression is that the 2008 GTR is going to go up against the BMW M3.

I believe it has already been decided that it will be under the Infiniti brand. If I'm not mistaken Nissan Motor Co. is also going to be releasing that nameplate in Japan shortly, so perhaps this will be the first Infiniti to be sold in Japan?

If the pricing stated above is true, they're in some serious trouble IMO. The new Corvette is considerably cheaper and will be close in terms of performance.

This has been confirmed by Nissan that it will be released under the Nissan name over here in the States and Canada as the Nissan GT-R in or after Spring 2008.
