LED DOOR SILLS

i installed the led door sills this weekend
and everything is working right
i have the wiring hooked up to the dome light in my car
however i just realized that the led lights are always on even when the door is closed
anyone can help me with this so i can have them turn on when the doors are actually open

did u hook it up before or after the light switch??

before its on the orange wire
how do you hook it up after the switch?

i don't know what the wires at the dome light look like
but at the map lights
there is 3 wires
a black, an orange and a black/orange or orange/green something not sure of the last colour

i think that i hooked mine up to the other two coloured wire, it is only powered when the door is open,

other will know better, but hope that may help!

It sounds like you tapped into the wrong ground wire, the solid black wire, or constant ground, would cause that problem to happen.

You need to hook it up to the 2 colour wire, in my case green/orange, and the black/red wire.

Also, even if you have tapped into the correct wires, the lights remain on for a few seconds after the doors are shut.

Let us know if this was the issue or if its still happening.
