View Full Version : Need tire info for stock 18" RX8 rims

I need some tire sizes that would fit the RX8 rims and fit the 3.

I am into Nokian WR but they only have these sizes:

245/45R18 100 V XL
225/40R18 92 V XL
235/40R18 95 V XL
295/35R18 99 V

ok great thanks. :) anyone else opinions? JOE JOE u there u sell these rims you should know will they fit for sure :) I am just trying to make sure thats all hehe

My friend back in Texas is running on RX8 rims with 225/40/18 Kumho SPT is how I know. :)

Hey thanks :) I looked at the mazda 3 forums and i seen some pics of diff rims but the same size tires.. and they are pretty... how should i say.. thin eh... i am assuming the ride would be harsher. esp with all the pot holes we have in canada

You are asking questions that I asked more than two years ago when I was one of the first people to fix RX8 rims on a Mazda3.

Okay...because I am being nice...I will answer.

RX8 rims:
18x8
50mm offset (stock is 52.5mm)
Will FIT 100% on your Mazda3.

Tires:
225/40/18
Will have almost no effect on your speedo compared to your stock 16" rims you are trying to sell off for too much money.

Yes, the tires will be thin...but isnt' that why you wanna upgrade?

Yes, ride will be harsher, its physics.* But you knew that already.

Yes, there are many potholes in Canada...there are many potholes around the world.* But again you knew that already.

To sum it up for you...because again...I am being nice.* The RX8 rims along with 225/40/18 will fit your car 100%...even if you were to lower it.* The ride will be HARSHER, your tires will be THINNER and there will be a lot of POTHOLES.

Mods, can we lock this thread already? All this info can be found over at M3F with a simple search.* :(
