Anyone works or lives around downtown Oakville?

Hey guys. I want to ask if anyone lives or work around in downtown oakville? Around Trafalgar Rd and Randall street or Lakeshore Rd and Wilson St.

I'm doing a study for a friend for his work with few other people and its going to be a boring day/job. The day is goign to last from 10am-6pm.

My question is, is there anythign to do around those areas? something entertaining? a mall maybe?

My job is to just count the parking spaces that are used every 30 mins from 10-6 (usually only takes 10 mins to count) So I want to see what i can do with the other 20 mins, maybe a tim hortons close by?. Boring job but $135 a day for 6 days.

Oh BTW i'm going to be on my feet during those hours so please if there is anywhere close by that i don't need to drive that'll be great.

go to front street b/w navy and dunn and there's a park (take dunn all teh way to the lake), more like a path by the lake (the waterfront trail).. this is the oldest part of oakville.. first post office etc.. if the weather is nice you can go to the peer as shown on the map

go here for some yummy ice cream.. Point A on the map.. i THINK (there global or some other tv station and for SURE there's a big clock in a courtyard).. also waffles and stuff but they tend to be expensive..

see the 3 windows? below is the entrance to the ice cream place.. it has movie posters all over so u'll know that's it.. and old school benches :)

i hear the queen's head is a decent pub for when you're done counting ;)

In the courtyard that majic showed you a picture of... there is a really nice coffee shop called 'the green bean' i always go over there on my lunch break or after work for a coffee or a snack. great coffee house.

Think I saw you on the way to work today around 8.30am. I was heading out of downtown oakville and you were heading in. Had to be you... Nice white hatch, lip, tints and rain guards. I was in the black hatch, lip, rain gurads, hid's. I waved but don't know if you saw me... your tint is dark!!

Yes it was me. And i knew it was you as well, that black lip stood out from a distance away. Sorry i didn't see you wave cause I thought YOUR tints were dark. I guess its really mine then. :) Nice to see you. I might have a few more chances to see you next week as i'm going to be in that area for 5 more days.
