Why would you wanna change your end links?? Got Racing Beat sway bars??
i am getting mazda speed ones. actually the idea came up long time ago just coz they are thicker but i recently went to a local dealer and they quoted me obscene prices for the end links. I have yet to get a quote from joe but an online US dealer quoted me 15 us for front each and 30 something for the rear each so that aint so bad I guess. $50 for so called upgraded front ones aint bad only thing is that the holes on the car and bars needs to be enlarged with a drill bit they provide... maybe be too much trouble and not much gain, will have to see how it goes. just sorting out my options.
n thanks for the info on the dealer.

His car is an 06 if the shop that's doing the install needs new end links then he should find another shop. I can understand if it's a Protege but on a newer 3 the links should be good.

read up on the Racing Beat front sway endlinks (http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset.asp?partnumber=71200) from the horse's mouth itself, as there is additional effort required to use the RB endlinks - mainly the fact that you have to make the hole bigger on the sway bar. this isn't plug and play and is much like dremmeling the H7 adapter in the ProLumen kit that you didn't want to do.
The addition of a larger aftermarket sway bar can increase the stress loads on the original OEM sway bar endlinks. To combat these increased loads, Racing Beat has designed a set of OEM style aftermarket endlinks to absorb the increased demands of a larger front sway bar.
Incorporated into the design of these links are larger 12mm mounting studs and matching retaining nuts. The sealed bearing is self-lubricating and should offer many miles of maintenance free driving.
These endlinks are intended for street and autocross applications and are highly recommended for use with the Racing Beat bar. Although these upgraded endlinks can be used with the stock sway bar, we believe that the original links are adequately suited for use with the stock bar.
Due to the larger diameter studs provided on the Racing Beat endlinks, both the sway bar ends and the holes on the shock mounting flange must be enlarged to accept the endlink mounting studs. Provided in the endlink kit is the appropriate sized drill bit and a drilling guide to accomplish this task. Also included are detailed instructions complete with drilling suggestions and torque specifications.
Note: The reason that the RB sway bar is provided with a 10mm hole is to allow use of the stock OEM endlinks. If we supplied the RB Sway Bar with a larger 12mm hole, then it would become mandatory to use the aftermarket links. Although the use of the RB Endlink Kit requires minor modifications, the rather cheap "insurance" offered by the installation of this kit is well worth the modest installation effort.
