That's messed up!

I didn't see what was so special about the video until the end there. Damn, that's pretty cruel. Check out some of the comments thou, really gets you thinking about some of the cruelty that happened to people in WWII at the hands of the Japanese. Sick, really sick.

devils advocate: I thought fish does not have the capacity to feel pain. Not that much cruelty if the fish cannot feel it.
Im not sure the fish even has the mental capacity to grasp that it got a chunk taken out of it.

If you look at it from that perspective, it's not that harsh, the fish is going to get eatten sooner or later. atleast you let it live a bit longer.

Wow thats outa perportion. You can't link this to W W 2, no way lol. But yah the Japs are probably in the top 3 for cruelty during war times. I have seen some documentaries that just made you feel off for a couple of days. Worse I have seen is usually with women, they would cut under the breast, fill it with salt and sow it back up....just horrible and fashgaljkg u just brought back that imagery. (this was on Discovery aka Hitler 50% of the time channel). Don't poing fingers though this kinda savegery has been occuring since the times of Tribes and will still occur today (ie. Africa)

Back on topic...food should be respected EOS.

i think the worst cruely happened to the japanese!!!

I agree with Broli and blackman about pointing fingers. It's not like they were the only ones that performed horrible atrocities during war or peace times.

I'm going to assume your not a history buff based on your comments... FYI the Japanese were the cruelist, even worse than the Nazis in some cases....
Why don't you ask some Canadian War Vets whom when captured were mostly starved to death? or the Chinese people? which would take me hours to explain the atrosities performed to them by the Japanese.
As for the A-bombs, we're all lucky that they dropped them because the Japanese were apparently just weeks away from having thier own and what do you think they planned on doing with them?
The Americans were forced to drop the second bomb because the Japanese refused to surrender after the first one was dropped and although the loss of life is sad, it was a necessary evil and by the way more Japanese civilians were killed with conventional bombings in the week preceeding the A-bombs than were lost in Hiroshima or Nagasaki......thats all.

As for the fish.... I think its disgusting.

OK this is gonna go waaaayy of topic but some ppl are just off.

I am sorry but you are an IDIOT for saying that. I'm neither Japanese, Chinese, or American or any other nat involved. It was necessary to drop a-bombs on civilians? You are messed up and so is everyone that thinks the same. Wars are fought uniform on uniform and civilian deaths should be kept to a bare minimum through accidents. I know from history that there was civilian torture on all sides but in comparison to the a-bomb it was merely a drop in the bucket. Dropping an a-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was an act of pure evil! The americans and their backers were getting slaughtred just like they did in the following Vietnam war. They were throwing planes off the plane carriers so that they could fit as many fleeing as they could.

They dropped the bombs simply to WIN a war, with no regard for CIVILIAN human life end of story!

As for the Japs having Nuclear weapons and deploying them....yeah keep telling yourslef that...I highly doubt it, hell people are dumb enough today to believe in bombing the hell out of the ME on a speculation that they have WMD.

As for when the Western forces were getting tortured to death etc ...hey it was WAR and POW treatment to me is not nearly important as by-stander civilian life.*

I am pretty interested in how Iran and N Korea play out in the near future. I dont think that they have anything remotely close to sending something near N/A. The DPRK is more dangerous and is probably wanting to leave a mark on its way out on one of its neighbors, just my opinion.

Altough I was hoping this topic was finished,....I believe you are the idiot here and you've proofed it by your un-educated comments.Wars have very rarely been fought uniform to uniform, there has always been civilian casualties,...always! Did you not read that the A-bombs although they did take many lives, many more civilians were being killed by conventional bombings. The Japanese were a different enemy, they would rather die than surrender thats how strong willed they were. There was no WMD argument back then, civlians had died by the millions by that point. The Japanese had the technology to create the bomb, that is a fact! They had turned the Island of Japan into a Fortress! and every Japanese citizen was ready to fight to the death....Americans weren't getting slaughtered, they were winning the war by then, it was Chinese, Indonesians, Fillopenos and countless other nations civilians that were being slaughtered by the Japanese....so do yourself a favour and read some books before you start slandering people.

As for the treatment of POWs, your really screwed there, I dare you to say that to one of our remaining vets!!... even at 80 or 90 they'll probably still drop you on your ass...there are laws about the treatment of prisoners( ever hear of the Geneva Convention). Laws which the western society followed and in many cases the Axis powers ignored. Especially the Japanese.

I most definitely do not condone the death of civilians or the killings of anyone if thats what you thought I was saying, but like they say...Sometimes you have to Fight evil with evil.....and if you don't understand that why don't you ask some Holocaust survivors.

Another thing, your so ficking stupid that you even try to connect the situation back then to whats going on today in the ME.....Give me a break.

Flagrum, ease up on the personal attacks. Clearly the Japanese have had a very negative influence on the history of your family or someone close to you. And if true I am not here to insult that, its just that it should not be driving your opinions on murdering civilians.

Yes my whole point of that post was directed at your not-so-clevar comment about how it was necessary to drop two atomic bombs on one of the two most civilian populated cities in the country.

"Did you not read that the A-bombs although they did take many lives, many more civilians were being killed by conventional bombings."

Here again you are not too keen on how an atom bomb works. Without wasting too much time, here is a small clip:

Flash and Fireball
- An intense flash of light, as quick as lightning but a thousand times brighter, is the first effect of a nuclear bomb exploded in the air.
- Heat radiation is then released that is strong enough to set fire to material 14 kilometers (8.68 miles) from the explosion.
- The bomb's intense X-ray pulses are lethal up to 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) from the explosion.
- After the initial flash, a fireball forms and rises, releasing blindingly bright flashes and radiating heat. People up to 80 kilometers (49.6 miles) from the explosion can be temporarily or permanently blinded by looking at the fireball.
- People within 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) of the explosion will be deeply burned. Lighter burns will occur at greater distances such as 15 kilometers (9.3 miles).
- The spreading range of heat and light rays depends on the weather.
Blast
- Begins at the same time as the flash and fireball but moves more slowly.
- Causes major damage to houses up to 14 kilometers (8.68 miles) from the explosion and breaks windows 20 to 30 kilometers (12.4 to. 18.6 miles) from the explosion.
- Almost everyone would be killed within 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) and 50 percent of the people 8 kilometers (4.96 miles) away would be killed.
- Causes of death range from blast radiation or collapsing and flying masonry.
- Hurricane-strength winds follow the blast.

The radiation deaths continued for at least the next 10-20 years. Various cancers followed. In total the Atomic bomb killed many more and kept on killing for the next decades to come. Sparing no women/children/families. Not a good way to die either, a lot were wiped out in a flash, a lot burned alive, and many more suffered the fait of agonizing radiation poisoning and eventually death. Hmm the saying “I do not wish that on my worst enemy” comes into play, no?

“There was no WMD argument back then, civlians had died by the millions by that point. The Japanese had the technology to create the bomb, that is a fact!”
Ok so like I said in the present situation. They had scientists that could create it, but they didn’t have the resources necessary to make one and weren’t planning on making one. Hmmm, yeah lets nuke ‘em.

“They had turned the Island of Japan into a Fortress! and every Japanese citizen was ready to fight to the death....”

Yes that is a compelling argument, that they all should be wiped off the map uniform and farmer with a pitchfork alike…yeap you are making me see clearly now.

“Americans weren't getting slaughtered, they were winning the war by then”

Sorry that’s not everyone’s view, maybe the western forces (and their history books) but not the rest of the world. They truly did get punished. There is a very wise saying "History is written by the victors" WC...case in point that strongly applies.

“It was Chinese, Indonesians, Fillopenos and countless other nations civilians that were being slaughtered by the Japanese....so do yourself a favour and read some books before you start slandering people.”

I agree, the Japanese force was doing a lot of evil to the neighboring countries, I said that in my first post. It still doesn’t give you the right to allow you to drop two atomic bombs on two major cities causing millions of deaths (all included)

“As for the treatment of POWs, your really screwed there, I dare you to say that to one of our remaining vets!!... even at 80 or 90 they'll probably still drop you on your ass...there are laws about the treatment of prisoners( ever hear of the Geneva Convention).* Laws which the western society followed and in many cases the Axis powers ignored. Especially the Japanese.”

Yeah I still stand at my original opinion, to me a civilian life, even if it is from the other side is worth more than a soldiers. Yes I have heard of the Geneva Convention and from the recent years,* they (western forces) don’t seem to be following it too well now are they?

“I most definitely do not condone the death of civilians or the killings of anyone if thats what you thought I was saying, but like they say...Sometimes you have to Fight evil with evil.....”

Wow you are contradicting yourself big right there. Well you say its horrid that such an act was done, you still say that it was purely necessary to beat the Japs…eh mah boy…seriously who is filling your head with this?...I bet its someone who is looking for every reason in the world to justify the murder of all those people.

“and if you don't understand that why don't you ask some Holocaust survivors”

Holly Sh*** man, I certainly do not know where you are going with this (where is the crazy smiley when you need one)

“Another thing, your so ficking stupid that you* even try to connect the situation back then to whats going on today in the ME.....Give me a break”

Again with a defense fired answer (to that response I can only lable you as a clown, its not an attack...its just that you have no clue what you are talking about)…Yes I believe that fear was used to justify the bombings of that country. That’s exactly what happened, and what has happened today in the ME. Except back in those days if you said that, you would have been a traitor to your country, scum even possibly dead (more open public views came into play with the Vietnam war). Hmm some of the views that they fought against but on their own soil…..noooo you don’t say.

They dropped the bombs to win the war. The humiliation and cost of life at Pearl Harbour was also just another point they needed to justify the bombs several years later.

No matter what the Japanese Military did, it should have never come to the point of using nuclear weapons on its people.

You can never win this argument with me. Wasting this much time on you is really a waste and I have pretty much summed up everything that I wanted to say.
Clearly you have little to no knowledge in World history, and your responses are fired with alot of opinion (whether yours or in all probability someone elses), and not much knowledge. You just have that childish opinion that "My country/alies/opinion is the best and it has done no wrong, and hell I'll stone the guy that says otherwise". So comming from me it would be best if you actually read up alot on this and not just from one source, especially when you have such a strong opinion about it.

OK then, I think this lady is just about ready for lockup* ;)

For all the sushi lovers..............

Dude gets an ingrown hair. It gets infected, now he has a boil. Ought to go to the doc and get it lanced, but he doesn't. Weeks pass. The boil grows, eroding downward toward his skull. Ought to go to the hospital in a jiffy, but he doesn't. Weeks pass. The infection reaches his skull. Bone, once infected, presents little barrier to spread of infection to contiguous bone, and so it spreads within his skull. Ought to spend a good long time in the hospital, but he doesn't. The bone dies, and begins to erode. Weeks pass. At some point, the smell attracts flies, which begin to lay eggs in his festering wound, and maggots take hold. Weeks pass. The infection breaches the inner layer of his skull, and reaches the meninges. Weeks pass. Though their tensile strength is impressive, the meninges are quite thin, and the infection breaches them. Now, infection and maggots set to work on his brain. Your brain just isn't supposed to be on your outside, and presents almost no barrier to anything when exposed. Infection and maggots get to work on his brain. This makes him feel a little wobbly on his feet, and so, what do you know, he decides to see the doctor. He walks in to the Stanford ER, where these photos were taken, just as you see him here.

This is a true case of a japanese man from GifuPrefecture who complains incessantly about a persistent headache.

Mr. Shota Fujiwara loves his sashimi and sushi very much to the extent of trying to get them as "alive and fresh" as can be for his insatiable appetite. He developes a severe headache for the past 3 years and has put it off as migraine and stress from work. It was only when he started losing his psycomotor skills that he seeks medical help. A brain scan and x-ray reveals little however. But upon closer inspection by a specialist on his scalp, the doctor noticed small movements beneath his skin. It was then that the doctor did a local anaesthetic to his scalp and discovered the cause when tiny worms crawled out. A major surgery was thus immediately called for and the extent of the infestation was horrific.

See the attached pictures to the scene that one thought only a movie could produced:

Remember, tapeworms and roundworms and their eggs which abounds in all fishes from fresh or saltwater can only be killed by thorough cooking and/or freezing the fish to between 4°C-0°C. The eggs of these parasites can only be killed if it is cooked or frozen to the said temperatures for a week or more. Think twice about that raw dish next time . . . or you might get a headache.

You Started the name calling, I know exactly how the "bomb" works, I have extensive knowledge on the subject from many different sources, might I add...thank-you.You seem to negate the millions of deaths the Japanese caused pretty handely and mind you most of those deaths were civilian....makes me wonder about your past! and your knowledge!! I knew you wouldn't understand the point I was trying to make when I mentioned the Holocaust....My opinion becomes strong when people try to distort (from ignorence) the events that occurred during those times.Again you try to compare the present situation in the ME with what happened back then...Totally different my friend.
May I had that the Americans were neutral at the time of the Pearl Harbour bombings, the Japanese started the war with that act and contrary to what you've read on the internet most Americans were in favour of getting into the war much sooner...that i know from communicating with many relatives and friends of relatives that lived, fought and survived that era.How much of your info comes from people who actually lived thru that era? I would guess probably none.....I would assume your lack of knowledge comes from putting to much faith in books and the internet.

Clown I may be,....but clowns never hurt anyone!
