Damn moron learn how to park!!! (my baby got hurt...)

Hey guys,

How was the weekend? I had a terrible Sunday....

So I went to Scarborough ghetto town centre with wife to do some shopping, parked outside at Sears around 2pm, came out around 5, just as I spotted my car from far away, I noticed some strange reflection on the front passenger door, bad thought went to my mind for a few seconds..(noooo it couldn't be!!!!) so I started running towards my car, as I walked closer and closer, my fear became reality, Arrrrghhh, a huge dent! Fu_k!!!! WHAT A ***EN RETARD!!!! how could anyone do this to my car?!?! how could anyone park so horribly like this???

My mind just went blank for the first few mintues, so confused, really pissed off, I felt I could really beat the shit out of that idiot. After I calmed myself down, then I tried to see if that ***er would actually be kind enough to leave a note on my windshield, yeah right, in my dream, what a coward, just ran off like a rat... not a friggin "i'm sorry i'm too stupid to drive and bumped your car, here is my telephone number", and no witness, nothing :-\. Then I checked on the damage, ouch! the door handle is completed bent, I couldn't even open the side door!

Then I noticed there is camera right on top of the Sears roof, hey this might help me to find out who is this idiot! So I went back to the mall and talked to the mall security guy, told him about the situation, asked him if he could pull up the tapes from the last 3 hours to see who did this. Well, yeah, in my dream again, he said that camera wasn't pointed to that angle this afternoon. #@$^&$# ***kk you morons, what's a security camera good for if it doesn't rotate and records the whole surrounding?! He said the best he could do is write a report about this and send me to the collision report centre to report this. Gosssh, I ran out of options, I guess there is no way to find out which bastard did this.

I had enough of all this bullshit, I gotta getta the hell out of this shit mall. I reported this at the collision centre and they est. it would cost 1200 to repair, my deductable is at 500, so this afternoon shopping end up costing me over 500 bucks, crap crap crap.... I hate scarborough shitty centre, I hate people who can't drive/park!!!! I wish that dickhead crashs his/her car someday and never drive again!!! Sigh, I just need a place to vent, gonna talk to my insurance agent now. :'(

That doesn't look like a parking accident. It looks purely intentional. Did you cut someone off accidentally prior to entering the mall?

There'd be major scraping if it was another car scraping or opening their door into yours.

I just got off the phone with my insurance agent, he said because this was a hit and run and the 3rd party person was not identified, I would have to pay my own deductible, which is 500 bucks............. :'( :'( :'(

Although he said if I can find out who did this, the deductible can be waived... Guess my last hope is the security camera on the sears roof (as u can see on the 3rd pic), looks like I gotta go back there and talk to the mall security again and make sure they aren't bullshiting....

That does not look like someone backing into the car at all. Check to see if there are any paint chips on the door or heck even a shoe print?
Might be a door if they had door edge guards and opened it up really really really hard and purposefully.

I can't imagine how opening a side door could caused this type of damage, unless really really really hard like you said, but again yesterday was really windy... lol just trying to make myself feel better... :'(

Is that the same spot you were in? I can't understand how someone could hit it at that angle unless they were backing out of a spot across and over. Unbelievable. I hate people. That's why I hardly ever park in between other cars. I usually park as far away from other cars as possible - way back in a corner or something. Let them break into my car. There isn't anything worth stealing in there. ;)

There is no way that our door can crumple that much due to a collision with no paint damage..

I would look for a foot print on the door..

yeah it was at the same spot when I took the pictures, there are few spot where paints were chopped off, but they are small. I'll check if there is any foot prints when I get home, but really, this is unblieveable, I've always drove nicely, yield to others, never steal others parking spot. If it's done intentionally, then i'm gonna avoid that mall completely from now... :-\

It happens in other malls, my wife works at 'Yorkdale'.

The only way to avoid this is to not drive a nice car. Human nature is to be envious of people who have something we wish we had. The 'right and wrong' part of the brain is screwed up on the people who actually let the jealousy cause action...

I've seen someone ram a car with a shopping cart before. We called the cops... Maybe that is something that happened with the corner of a cart being ran into it. Most carts have the plastic or rubber corners... and that would maybe be why there isn't a scratch.

alright guys, thanks for all the condolences, really appreciated, here is a small update.

- There was no footprints, nor any signs of wiping/cleaning either. I also found out that the window on that door does not work anymore, can't roll down completely, it stuck at the middle. :-\
- I went back to the mall, spoke to another security guy, this guy told me that their cameras rotate and record the whole surrounding of the entire parking lot, so it is possible that the accident was captured. BUT, he refused to let me see it, said only police can make such request, blah blah blah.
- Okay fine, so i went back to the collision report centre, told the cop about my situation, then i was given a phone number of another cop (his title is the East CRC Hit and Run Investigator), and told me to give him a call tomorrow.

So there is still some tiny hope, although i really have no faith in our cops, it may take him months to give me an answer, since cases like this must be a real low priority for him anyways. Oh well, lets see what he has to say tomorrow.

The security van came after i notified the guards at the counter in the mall.

Just got off the phone with the detective, as i expected, he told me that "unfortunetely, the quality of those security cameras there have not been very clear for us, we have been there serveral times and not much can be seen on the video, chances are your vehicle is not gonna be on the video......." yeah, right, no effort what so ever, didn't even bother to find out exactly where I was. Blah~ I must've interrupted his donuts break, geez, to serve and protect my ass, think about who is paying ur ****ing salary. >:(

I'm gonna accept the fact now that yes this could happen to anyone, i just got "lucky" and it was my turn... expensive one too, :'( oh well...
