im having some issues on high speed braking, the steering wheel vibrates , can this be my rotors are warped?, car has 38k on it...just wanna check if someone has had this problem and was fixed by the dealer under warranty.* If not , are the rotors supposed to be out by this time/mileage ?.....just wanna hear some comments before i go to the dealership for the 40k service.* thanks...

Yeap...u hit the nail on the head with the warpage.
It doesn't take much to do it. It just depends how bad it is for you. If it is fairly noticable, get them replaced...it is not worth it to resurface them.
As for them going at 38K...well thats almost a trip around the world heheh ...some ppl fry em faster than others. Mine were gone at about 45k so just get new rotors installed, shouldn't cost much. If you want to save money just pick up the rotors and put em on yourself, or a cheapy garage (don't worry theres nothing really you can mess up). BTW I would stick with OEM...unless you spend big money you can't beat oem(at least in the disc dept.)

if you dont mind me asking how much did you end up paying for your rotors? Mine were warped at 9000km and the dealer only resurfaced them they wouldnt replace them. I hate them for that because they warped again and now im gonna drive with them until i get new rotors. If they are cheap enough ill get a pair now and replace mine

I actualy got them replaced because of a disc scoring issue they had with the 04's and got my pads relaced for sqealing @50K rear and @55k Fronts. So warranty. But yeah I think that it costs liek 70% of the price of the rotors to resurface em. But the problem is with removing metal. You are guaranteed to have the problem quicker then they originally warped...much quicker, i have heard as low as 10k.
So yeah its cheapest to buy new ones and have them replaced...or if ure lazy get the dealer to do it.....really doesnt take long. Also usually when its just the steering wheel that vibrates its ure fronts that are warped...
Best to get em off the dealer...if you want to save money, maybe there are CT replacement ones for it. Sould last you close to OEM, but definately better than surfacing ure warped ones.

just had my 40k service at MoT and I was hoping they could check this issue, but they are charging me for inspection fee for it ,$49 something.* I was hoping this problem can be checked since im in for the maintenance schedule and/or car is still under warranty...
ill try avante mazda next service if they will check it (no charge), if it is a normal wear & tear i have no problem paying for it...

It will all depend on the prior services done on your vehicle and the mileage. If you brought it up at around 2Avante will probably charge you the same to look at your brakes. It's getting harder for us dealers to cover brakes.

i didnt bother contesting my request to your service advisor since thats your dealer policy....bec in my last service maintenance i had some issues with my driveshaft, your dealer check it (no charge) and fixed the problem too under warranty.*
im just curious what are items/issues that can be diagnose (no charge) while the car is still under warranty?
thanks ...

When your mileage is past 20,000km pretty much everything but brakes and let's say wipers. Mainly b/c they are a wear item.

seriously, i will see on my nxt service what the other dealer will say, if i get the same excuse, what can i say? i just have to bite the bullet .
still having fun driving the car, but most likely will not keep it anymore when the warranty expires, too bad i took the extended warranty...
