RIP. He was funny? He was the Godfather of Soul! His music was more sampled than any other artist in Hip Hop songs.

I think most, if not all, entertainers can fit in one of those categories.

He had a unique talent though, unlike the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, N'Sync etc crap that is put out today.

+1 a relative was a backup singer for him back in the late 60's - early 80's. I have heard nothing but negative things.
