Hi,
I noticed today that sometimes the car is not detecting that the seatbelt is not buckled. Usually when I get into my parking garage, I un-unbuckle my seatbelt when parking, but noticed that it wasn't beeping saying the seat belt isn't buckled, and the light in the gauge cluster wasn't flashing. It doesn't really matter to me if I don't hear the beeping anymore. I'm just wondering if that signal is tied to other systems, such as the air bag, and if it is something I that should get fixed ASAP.

Try keeping you belt off longer. The buzzer and light shut off for short periods of time. Probably just long enough to get into your garage.

You should hear the beep after a few seconds. Unless of course you had the feature disabled.

The problem seems to be intermittent. If I shake the female part of the buckle, and un-buckle, sometimes the light comes on. Thinking of it now, I don't think the beeping comes on now, even if the seatbelt light is on.
There's another gate in my parking lot for resident parking, and I usually unbuckle at that point, and then there's a short drive to my parking spot. I usually back in, and in the past, I always heard the beeping. Problem only started yesterday, and is still there this morning.

when you get into your car in the morning, don't buckle up (just initially; of course u should buckle up after the test).. put the car into drive and it should start beeping right away.. if it doesn't then something is definitely wrong..

Yup, somethings wrong with it. I started teh car, and the seat belt light was on. Put it into reverse, and no beeping. Put it into drive, and after a short delay, it beeped twice. Then the indicator light went out and no more beeping. Drove for a bit w/out the seat belt and it never beeped. Guess, I'll need to get it checked out.
