Hey guys,
I had this problem a month or so ago as well
last time it was rough idle, jerkiness, bad throttle response.

tonight I threw a CEL again, idle is fine but the jerkiness is really bad in first gear. then smooths out in the other gears with the occassional jerk.

MAF again!?
and is my intake the fault of this? it's an AEM with no shield.
if it is, i might as well rip the whole thing out and sell it. the damn thing is more trouble than it's worth.

you have a shop? i didn't know that.. i was thinking of just bringing it to mot again.
but they already have done something about that once.. so im afraid to go a second time.

did you remove the MAF wiring off the battery box when installing the CAI? if not, then you may be stretching the MAF wires and in turn causing the CELs and jerking/hesitation

Could be the actual MAF sensor itself chucks. Bring it to vlad's place and have him scan it.

Just a suggestion...Try filling the tank and use some gas line antifreeze first, could just be from condensation, or water in the gas.(Seen it before several times)

If you suspect it is moisture detected by the MAF, you can take the sensor out and dry it off with a hair dryer.

broken wire on MAF sensor

Thanks mang, good to know...I guess you have to be real careful of the wires when installing a CAI.
