So how was your drive to work or school

on this really really cold Monday Feb 05. 2007 morning...

all I gotta say again and again...holy ish is it cold...cold car to drive (add squeaky clutch and brakes, mild case of frozen tranny), cold outside to wait for the subway and cold walk to work..

well thats how my cold morning was, how was yours?

It was still okay... thank gawd I was driving against traffic going on 401 east... blowing snow didn't help much...

I had a very close call... the civic infront of me lost control and started swirving... I quickly changed lanes as he whacked his back end into the concrete barrier... he generally kept control and prevented himself from spinning. GET SOME SNOWS you cheapass!

Anyway... yeah... I so do not need to get in an accident with my 3...

1 month to go.

Just to really really cold...

and even in extreme cold weather....drivers out there tend to get very interesting incidents.

It was freezing, and the engine was a little rough. When I first started er up the rpm settled at about 1900 and then slowly went down. That's how I know it was dang cold.

All I can say is that I'm glad I have underground parking on days like this :)

Unfortunately i'm still driving with my bald RS-A's and I have to say that the drive to work today was probably the hardest most physically consuming drive i've ever had to make. The major intersection turns were excruciating, and on Rutherford my car got molested by a salt truck. However I made it safely and hope it's not as bad on my way home. An RSX that was driving behind me spun around completely in the middle of the intersection some girl was driving it and she was freaking out. On a student budget tires are just too expensive right now...

You gotta look and find, you kinda missed the boat for this season. I found a set of steelies with used winter tires for 300$. Just drive accordingly, you know the drill.

Yep that's how I survived thus far. I'll look around maybe it's not too late...

I didn't have any problems at all but I really hope they sand by the time I have to leave work. Cause it's rediculous how bad they let it get out there.

I dont work today, but still, I went out about an hour ago, it wasnt that cold anymore (not sure how cold it was early) about 13 C, the roads wherent the best, a bit slippery but nothing dramatic (unless you consider dramatic trying to start on a interesctio uphill when its icy)

According the time on the LCD, I left the house at 6:57am and arrived at work at 7:15am. Not bad, traffic was light and I hit all green lights except for one intersection.

^^^ Are you back from vacation?

Surprisingly, traffic is not bad this morning.

Unfortunately, yes. What a change, from +27C weather with humidity, to -20C windchills. At least I still have my jetlag.

I didn't end up going to Pangasinan, but rather Bohol and Cebu.

due to the snow we had here in teh far far wesside on the weekend, throw in some wicked cold temps, and the salt they throw on the roads is useless in such temps.

im on afternoons now (3-11pm) i had absolute fun goign into work....love the e-brake slides...

i was going to school at like 1 30ish... and there was this huge right turn line up for the Morningside exit... it was so long that part of the highway was packed.. and this jeep behind me almost hit me from the back...

Looking outside in the downtown core, it was a total blizzard around 3:30 or so yesterday so we decided to leave a bit early, thinking it was going to be a long drive home. By the time we got onto the DVP though, it was clear skies and open road. heh. No problem at all!

It was wierd 427 from the 401 to the gardiner had whiteouts in the afternoon, anywhere else it was completely clear, it was wierd.
