Can you not just switch to intermittant(sp?)?
Driving in this morning, I put them on auto and tried to slow them down but couldn't. They were going faster then level 1.
Am I missing something?

Somebody please help.....

Rant off.

Thank you

On the 04, Intermittent is AUTO. If you turn the ring/indicator/whatever it's called to the "-" position, it will lower the sensitivity of the wiper motor (sensitivity to speed).

some trims come with intermittent and some come with rain sensing .. the GTs have RS for sure.. the snow was hitting the sensor very fast hence the increased wiper speed..

you can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor by turning the stalk towards the + and - signs.. it doesn't give you much flexibility tho.. it's like fast and superfast.. nothing slower ;)

i just do the one wipe by hand.. it's the most effective wipe for me.. blast some heat on the windshield and snow turns into water.. use rainx and that water beads off.. problem solved (sort of) :)

I do this exact same thing now. And yes I started doing this after Majic posted about it months back. I hate that guy. :chuckle

I'll only switch to Auto in heavy rain.

I leave it on the 2nd lowest sensitivity and it works fine for me all the time. To each there own I guess.

RAIN X is a must!!!

+1 for RainX - even though the manual says not apply anything over the sensor...what do they know.

Thanks guys, I will just use the manual '1 wipe by hand' process, cause there seems to be only fast and faster on auto.....

yeah same, with the auto, the continuous fast and continuous moderate functions are almost useless. it would have been nice if they had. manual/intermittent/auto/fast. i think that would give u the most control over your wipers.
