Flip a coin.

Ya I'm flipping a coin now to decide if I want these center caps or not. Unfortunately the center caps don't come in any color other than what's shown. yay or nay?

If I can't find nice rx8 rims I am going with the xd9's too. I have a black hatch. I think they are stunning! I was reading in import performance that the xd9's have center caps that you can get... the others don't have that option.

I vote for Kai.....All because its lighter, and yes 4 lbs makes a difference, since you're comparing your stock to this.

I prefer the XD9. I find the CR-KAi too spoky for the 3.

Same reason I picked it. 2 lbs of rotating unsprung mass at each corner is significant. Since both wheels look pretty good, you might as well choose the one that's better from a technical standpoint.

I've been looking at the XT7 for myself. Tough choice though, cuz they're both hawt rims.

Well its diff. Both the rims as WW said, they look alike. I vote for Kai because its lighter and gives better performance. But i'd get XD9 because not many cars out there have them. But mainly just your final decision that counts.

Ya I was looking at the XT7s before but I'm favoring the Kai and the xd9s, I still have about 2 weeks to come to a conclusion

remember JDM rims takes a long time to order. Unless they have it in stock, you're gonna waiting a long time.

They are both extremely hot. But for 17" go with the CR Kai, it will look better on the car.

I love the XD9 trully, but on a 17" rim the lip might just make the rim look smaller than it is. Go with the 18s and get the XD9, you'd be the envy of more than one member here!

Ya the size and the lip did come to my attention but when comparing weights it does become a little more hefty. I've seen the 17s in person awhile back, the size didn't look tooooo tiny. But thanks for the input.

Looks like I'm favouring the xd9s but not by a large margin. Still going to wait another week until I decide.

If you get 225/45's then the XD9's for sure. If 205/50's then the first one. Are you dropped?

I'm dropped on H-techs saving up for some coils (or at least I hope) Ya I'm planning to run on 225/45/17s.

I like the CD-KAI simply because the spoke goes ro the edge of the rim instead of being receeded into it.

Well since I'm loving both (regardless of all the CRKai Replicas out there) I think I'm leaning more towards the Kai now.

You have to do the caps, rims are ugly without caps. If anything go out and get some similar colored mazda caps. There are certain exceptions if the center caps are hideous, but those look ok. Go with centre caps.

Well i just never seen anyone with work emotion rims with centre caps. Maybe because of the obvious color mis match with the rims and centre cap.

I had the caps at first but I got rid of them. I think Work wheels look better without centrecaps. It also saves the hassle of having to take them off for track days.

Sweet wheels. If I had to choose between the two I'd be torn.. More people have the cr kai's in vancouver so I'd probably choose the xd's just to be more original. Can't wait to see them on the car!
