200-500mm F2.8 Ultra telephoto lens.
Looks very heavy.

How do you take a pic with that thing hanging off the end
of your camera? It needs it's own tripod.

The first pic with the geek has the hood attached that's half the size of the overall lens! It just wasn't big enough they had to attach a massive hood on it. :chuckle

You mount the lens to the tripod - and guessing that it would weight a ton, a very strong tripod.

What's making that lens huge is the f2.8 - basically means it will allow a lot of light in at any focal length as it can be set at f2.8. Other lens you'll see a range i.e. f4.0-f6.5. To do that you usually need a ton of glass and a big opening to let the light/image in.

Considering Sigma's 50-500mm f4-6.3 sells for $1,500 - guess this costs about $12K at least.
