Hey guys I'm currently driving a Mazda3 GS sedan and am looking at getting a Mazda3 GS Hatch which has the 16" alloys as a standard option, my GS has the 15" alloys. I want to make sure that my 15" steelies will fit on the hatch. I know I'm out of luck on the GT, but wonder if the GS hatch uses the same rotors and brakes as the GS sedan with 15" alloys. I know I can get the dealer to check, but I'd like to know up front. I really don't want to be forced to buy a new set of winters and rims next fall.
Thanks.

15s will fit on a GS..
GT is where you have to go 16" or bigger..

Actually the GS has the same brakes as the GT on the Sport.
So write down the date that TheBiz corrected majic. (Must be an off day... you thought he was talking about the Sedan)
Sorry to tell you that the 15" rims will not work on the GS Sport

whoops.. :bang
well easier to do it this way
'big' engine (2.3L) = 'big' rotors = 'big' wheels (16" and up)
'small' engine (2.0L) = 'small' rotors = 'small' wheels (15" and up)

Good thing I got the GT then...If to get new winters no matter what I'd rather be in the nice car...
BTW am I better off trying to sell my 15" winters in the fall or does it really matter...I'm not really worried about price, but more as to how fast they will move.

If you're in no hurry to sell your 15's you should wait till fall b/c that's when people are scrambling to find snows for their cars.
