Dunno let, I have been looking around but insurance is keen on getting it fixed and not having it written off, even though there are some serious problems with it.

Damn, man. :( Sorry to hear.

What are the issues so far? Getting hit in the b-pillar can't be good. Any airbags go off?

That looks bad, They smashed in between the doors where the pillar is so it's not easy to fix that.

Glad you are safe!

oh damn, can't believe that damage cost $11K

Devin98

Thanks guys, I am just a little stiff in the neck and back but was pretty lucky.

For the damage you know the $11K is inflated because it is going though insurance and the body shop knows they can get away with a little extra.

Even the inside of the door panels are destroyed, it also knocked something loose in the engine as there is a serious tick in the engine.

You would think they would have called it totalled since its practically half the value of the car.

Insurance said they are going to fix it, so I have no idea. I am also trying to get depreciation out of them because when I go to sell the car I need to disclose the fact there was $11K of damage on it and it decreases the value of the car greatly.

Sure it's $10k+ to have it fixed. I was rear-eneded on 401 last summer by some hit-n-run a$$ho driving a 1994 BMW 3 series. His car was lowered and he went under my rear bumper and had it lifted. It also caused 2 little dents on my rear fenders. I was pushed to the car in front and of course they had to replace my front bumper.

End result.....Front bumper, rear bumper were both replaced, rear side fenders were fixed....plus 2 weeks of car rental because they didn't notice my rear fenders were dented at the first visit so I had to go back.....almost $6,000.00 All on insurance and 0% fault.

Insurance company should have your written off rather if I am them because yours is an indigo blue sedan which can only be a 2004 model which is the same as mine and the dealer gave me a trade-in value on mine was $13,500.00. If they have to pay $11k to fix yours, might as well write it off and pay you $13k. They could have taken your car somewhere to fix it cheap and resell it.

My bad, must be my mistake. I thought they stopped producing indigo blue sedan after the first year of production in 2004.

I am surprised the windows did not break also as the truck hit them dead on, there are some scratches on them but no cracks.
