Rotating Tires

hey everybody,

quick question that I want to confirm.. is it best to rotate tires via the X procedure or front to back?? I believe the instruction manual says X (front driver side will go to back passenger and vice versa) but once in a while I read that it's best to go front to back (front driver side will go to back driver side)..

I was going to go X but I just want to confirm this before I rotate my tires.. ie, switch from winter mode to summer mode.. thanks..
